Disney Believe Ship Details | Disney Travel & Family Theme Parks

Jason: And welcome to episode seventy-seven of Castles of Cauldrons. I'm your host, Jason Davis. I'm here with Micah. Rachel is in jury duty. She got a jury summons, so she's having the best time. She like we're all jealous of her. And Terry is out doing vacation stuff with her family.

Myka: Yeah. Family stuff. I think they're going to the mountains, yeah.

Jason: Yeah. So it's just me and Micah from the regular crew, but we do have Blair and Courtney from Magical Travel, who is our amazing sponsor that along with Micah and myself who are agents for Magical Travel, Blair and Courtney both went to Disney World last last week, right?

Blaire Braud: Correct, yeah. Last week.

Jason: for the Disney believe unveiling where we got some more information. That's what we're gonna spend our our day talking about. But before we get into that, Blair and Courtney, can you tell us a little bit about yourselves? Maybe go ahead and give us some socials because I know Courtney said she might have to get out of here while we're recording. So Blair go ahead.

Blaire Braud: Sure. my name is Blair Bro. I am a travel agent. I've been with Magical Travel for twelve years now, a little over twelve years now. and I live in Florida. I live right outside of Tampa. I have three kids. and we very much so love Disney World. We're about an hour away. so we're there often and Disney Cruise Line is my favorite thing to book of any destination. And my socials are all traveling with the bros and bros are my last name, B-R-A-U-D. And that is on my socials, Facebook and Instagram and TikTok.

Jason: And Courtney.

Courtni: I am Courtney Brown. I'm from Delaware. I have four kids. I've been with Magical Travel for eight years and enjoyed every bit of it. my socials are Courtney Brown with Magical Travel.

Jason: We gotta spend some time with Courtney last year, on our H H N trip. It was a great time to spend some time with her. Blair, I've I've spent like on and off time with I've it's always like at the end of the day the trainings. We're always like sitting around outside drinking or something like that, just socializing. So this is the first time I actually gotten like to have a full on conversation with you. I I'm excited.

Blaire Braud: Yes, me too. I'm excited. Thanks for having us. and Courtney didn't mention or I didn't mention, Courtney is my best friend. So when we go to these

Jason: Yes.

Blaire Braud: events together, we have a lot of fun. It is it is a lot.

Courtni: Yes, we do. The best time.

Jason: That's that's the good that's the good thing about the agency is like we f we find like really good, if not best friends in this thing and we end up hanging out with each other outside. So but

Myka: I think my favorite story that I heard from Blair and Courtney was I can't remember which one of you it was

Blaire Braud: gosh.

Myka: that couldn't make it to a birthday party, but we had a cut out head and all the pictures.

Courtni: Yes, yes.

Blaire Braud: It was Courtney's birthday and I was the big fat head that attended the party.

Myka: Okay. Yeah. Yeah. That was at my very first travel agent training and everyone was like, This is Blair and Courtney. They're best friends. Like they're a hoot

Blaire Braud: Mm-hmm.

Myka: to be around. And then they were telling me that story. And I was like, I love that so much because I'm lucky enough to live in the same town as my best friend. So I get to hang out with her all the time, but I would a hundred percent and she would too carry around a giant head of the other person to take pictures with it. Like we would.

Blaire Braud: Mm-hmm.

Jason: No, that's the thing we forgot to do for Rachel for H H N was carry around a flat Rachel to get a picture of her.

Myka: Picture of her. I know.

Jason: before we start talking about some of the believe stuff, we did get an announcement from Disney Cruise Line and Tokyo Disney,

Blaire Braud: Mm-hmm.

Jason: which is the Oriental Land Company. They announced that their cruise ship is going to be called the Disney Imagination. And its stern characters are going to be Sebastian and Ariel. I think that's a pretty cool little thing. I I hate it's not gonna be in America.

Myka: Yeah. We'll just have to make a trip over there.

Jason: and I think it's two yeah, you know, just a quick trip for I think it's two night and three night itineraries is what I saw. I'm not positive on that. And that's supposed to start sailing in twenty twenty nine. But what starts sailing next year is the Disney Believe, and that's what we're here to talk about. So what the Disney Believe is a wish class, correct?

Courtni: Yes.

Jason: What was the what was like the biggest announcement that y'all y'all got that y'all weren't anticipating?

Blaire Braud: Think I for me, honestly, the Encanto show just that was the most exciting I was. I think Encanto, like I have an eight year old daughter. So my eight year old daughter, that's all she loves, right? Like she loves the Encanto, she loves the music from it, she loves all of that. And I think that I was most excited for that. and I I That is what's gonna get me on that ship. I mean it's beautiful, it's amazing, everything, but that show I think is what I am most excited about on that for that for that show.

Myka: And we definitely know Disney does such a good job with those shows too. So you know they're gonna do such a good job with the Encanto. And my son is just a little bit older than your daughter. He's nine. And when Encanto came out, we watched it every single day for six weeks. And like he still likes that movie. So I have someone who a hundred percent in this house loves Encanto as well. So

Blaire Braud: Yeah, no,

Jason: I mean

Blaire Braud: I'm so excited. And then the Baymax coffee shop, like how cool is that? Like to have Baymax represent it on the chef. Like that's not a

Myka: The cruise. Yeah.

Blaire Braud: yeah. Yeah, that's awesome. My I have a ten year old son who Baymax is his thing, right? Like that's that

Myka: Mm-hmm.

Blaire Braud: age demographic. And I think the Baymax coffee shop is like super cool and like they showed like you know how they do the artwork and the coffee. Like they have Baymax, right? Like that's so cool.

Myka: Ugh I love that. Yeah.

Blaire Braud: That's so cool. Yeah.

Jason: I love the name Big Hero Sips. That's very funny and so great.

Myka: Yes, such a good name.

Blaire Braud: isn't that so awesome? That's like marketing at its finest. Yes.

Myka: I love a good pun. Yes.

Blaire Braud: That was great. I am so excited for that.

Jason: go ahead.

Courtni: excited sorry, I'm excited for the Wishing Well Lounge, Snow White themed. It's gonna have like, you know, a Snow White side and then it seems like there's gonna be like a evil queen side with potions and concoctions. And I think that looks really cool.

Jason: And that's gonna be in place of the Sanctum and Tiana's the jungle cruise themed bar,

Myka: Okay.

Jason: correct? In the tre in the treasure. I I I like that idea.

Blaire Braud: Yes, yeah, yeah, yeah. One thing at

Jason: the I really like Tiana's.

Blaire Braud: yes. One thing that she mentioned the snow white. One thing that they did at the event that we were at was they did a reception after they did the big live stream. So they brought in it actually was shocking to us how amazing it was. But when we walked into the room, they had each of the new sections of the ship represented in this ballroom.

Jason: That's cool.

Blaire Braud: And think of like the haunted mansion parlor built in a ballroom. they had encanto reppers in it, they had Toy Story reppers in it, but like just right down to the details, they had centerpieces in the Snow White Lounge section that had apples in them. and we were like, what is this? And then we realized, where are we? We were immersed in to the ship. but in an huge ballroom, they had somehow just made it where each section of the new ship had a representation and it was it was so awesome. I know Courtney like they had pop pop tarts from Toy Story. and Courtney loved those and like everything you could think about, it had Moana ship in there. everything that the ship the new ship will have a representation of like it was all built into this ballroom to show us how the what is going to be on the new ship and the decorations and every single detail was taken care of. I mean it was it was it blew us away. Totally blew us away. and and if the ship is like anything

Myka: That's awesome.

Courtni: Yes. The the food

Blaire Braud: Yeah, if the ship is anything like, you know, what they tried to represent in this ballroom, I can't even like imagine. Like it was just gorgeous. Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. the tables, everything, the linens, everything was represented of what they're going to want to do on the ship. And it was so nice.

Jason: You touched on it. I want to do a little gripe right quick. They are bringing the Haunted Mansion bar back. And this is the third

Blaire Braud: They are.

Jason: ship in a row we've gotten the haunted mansion bar. I love it. I think it's a great bar. I was in it on the Destiny. I think hyperspace kind of like came and went. It wasn't the greatest thing. When we did the tour last year of The Wish, I wasn't so impressed. I do wish though they would step out and make a different bar. Like I don't know what I can't

Blaire Braud: I hear you.

Jason: I'm not even like the rumors before were that they were gonna even do a a holiday haunted mansion bar year round. I'm like, go for it. That's different from regular haunted mansion. You put Jack Skellington and Sally and

Myka: Mm-hmm.

Jason: Oogie in there, I'll be there all day. But it's like it's so popular.

Blaire Braud: Could you imagine the lines to get in? Everybody

Jason: crazy.

Blaire Braud: would love that. Everybody would love.

Myka: Mm-hmm.

Jason: Well we were we never got into Corella's on the Destiny because the line was always long. Because of

Blaire Braud: Mm.

Jason: that that interaction that they have with Cor Corella going on in there. So I could only imagine that if they did the same thing for and it's not necessarily meet and greet, but a Holly a holiday version of Haunted Mansion, yeah, y you wouldn't be getting on it for a couple of nights.

Blaire Braud: yeah. yeah, for sure. I actually had clients get married in the Haunted Mansion parlor on the the Destiny. So that that's kinda fun. Like that is the wedding pictures you can't even imagine. The black bouquet with the pink rose just random it was gorgeous.

Myka: Ugh, I bet it's fantastic.

Blaire Braud: Gorgeous, gorgeous.

Jason: If you can't rent out the haunted mansion in Disney or Disneyl or in Disney World or Disneyland, that would be the next best thing. Like 'cause it's it's just that

Blaire Braud: Yep. It was amazing.

Myka: Mm-hmm.

Jason: detailed.

Blaire Braud: Yep.

Jason: Let's let's talk about food for a second, if you don't mind, when it comes

Blaire Braud: Mm-hmm.

Jason: to the restaurant. So they did announce we have a and this will be another gripe, another frozen show for the dinner.

Myka: Or n what Oakens

Blaire Braud: Yeah.

Myka: table? Mm-hmm.

Jason: Yeah.

Blaire Braud: I was hoping for something new and different, but we'll see.

Jason: the rumors were in Kanto, I think, going around or Cocoa not Cocoa, but in Kanto, yeah. and I was like, that would be great. That would that space really would lend itself to it. But did it seem like it's worth a redo for Frozen the way they're gonna do it, the way they talked about it?

Blaire Braud: think so. I think it's going to be Courtney, you talk about it. I know I know Frozen was one of the r restaurants you liked.

Courtni: It's gonna be like a festive family reunion in Oakens summer house. I think it'll be fun, a little bit different, not quite the same, but you know, still frozen and frozen is a phenomenon.

Myka: Mm-hmm.

Jason: I I gotta say I gotta look at it too. They got two more movies on the way out. You got one coming out right before the ship comes comes online and then the the fourth

Courtni: True.

Jason: one would be so soon soon after. So I'm not taking that in consideration. But I just

Myka: I mean, frozen's huge for them. I mean, frozen's been a giant thing for Disney. So of course they're gonna hold on to it and you know, if that's what's getting people back on there, they're like, it's frozen, but it's like summer frozen. So we're gonna go to Oaken Summer House and have dinner instead of like when it's cold, like Elsa's Ice Palace.

Blaire Braud: Yeah. Sort of Arendel.

Jason: I mean, I I get it, but you'd still have so many classic Disney movies and franchises they have that they could have done something a little bit more with. Like and you know, Buzz and Woody being on the back on the stern of the ship. You know, I don't know how you would do a Toy Story dinner show, but come on, like you could have thrown in the three or four popular song like everybody cry in the middle of dinner with the Jesse song. I would be all for a Muppet show. Like if they did a Muppet Dinner show, that would be great.

Myka: No way. You like the Muppets?

Jason: No, no one knows this.

Myka: Not at all.

Jason: I'm just trying to think like it to me that just sent like it did send s but it seemed like another one of those repeats. I do think Oaken would is a different take. I just I guess I have to see it, you know. I guess I had to recruit. yeah.

Myka: The the artwork and stuff for it looks fantastic. Like it looks fun, it's colorful, like and again, they're trying to to look at the audience of like us millennials who love our Disney stuff, but we all have younger kids and we gotta be able to have them entertained and happy too. And what do our kids like? Frozen and Kanto, Moana, like those are all the movies and things that they love right now. So of course it's gonna be a lot heavier on those 'cause we gotta have

Jason: But

Myka: our kids be happy too.

Jason: my argument is it's not the kids paying for the cruise, it's the parents. So do do we want to listen to

Blaire Braud: Pho.

Jason: Frozen for two different ships? And I mean,

Myka: If it keeps them happy, yes.

Jason: Disney with the dream and fantasy came online and the wonder and magic. But those shows repeat themselves too. So like Frozen is on the wonder versus and also on Destiny. So you know, we we've selled those in the past year. And it is the same show, just updated tech. So

Myka: huh.

Jason: you know, I g if I'm gonna complain on one thing I need to complain about too. But entangled isn't Tangled on one of the other ships, isn't it on Magic, I think, for a show?

Blaire Braud: I

Jason: Maybe.

Blaire Braud: think so.

Myka: I could not tell you. I don't know. But froze or Tangled is one of my favorites. So having an Encanto show and Tangled, I would want to watch both.

Jason: Well like I think that's the cool thing too is that they kinda got rid of the golden Mickeys over on the wish class ships. So now you have you have more Broadway shows.

Myka: Mm-hmm.

Jason: the other two dinner restaurants are nineteen twenty three and World of Marvel, correct?

Myka: Yeah, that's what I saw on the page.

Blaire Braud: Yeah. And Marvel again, I've heard people say, you know, gripe about that. But I like Marvel. I think it's you know, it's fun.

Jason: my complaint with it is I've only done Destiny. So it was that it was the cr it was just a trivia question the entire time. It wasn't a like the show that you saw that they talked about for Wish or Treasure. so I was kinda disappointed in the fact that we took our son on this ship to see Spider Man run through the restaurant and he

Blaire Braud: Mm.

Jason: doesn't run through the restaurant, you know. I wish they would do something with that space and make it worthwhile versus Just a trivia for entire dinner. But I

Blaire Braud: Yeah, I like it on the wish. I like Spider Man being there on the wish. It is different.

Jason: And it's I guess it's the same as Animators Palette. Like that's that constant on the other four ships. So World of Disney being the constant here. Or Marvel or Marvel. I'm thinking about shopping

Blaire Braud: Mm.

Myka: World of Marvel. Mm-hmm.

Jason: for some reason.

Myka: Yeah.

Jason: So maybe we'll get more on that show soon and what what they're gonna do. what other there was the inside out for ice cream, right? So they're doing inside out too.

Blaire Braud: Inside out for

Courtni: Yes.

Blaire Braud: the the candy. The you know, the yeah. And you know, the

Jason: the upcharge.

Blaire Braud: Yes, the upcharge candy.

Courtni: Yeah, inside out joyful sweets.

Jason: Which I'm not gonna harp on all this, but that's another you know, they've done that on another ship.

Courtni: Yeah.

Jason: But, you know.

Blaire Braud: They have. They have.

Jason: it I at some point I g I get the wish the chocolate the candy stuff. Like there's only so much you can do. You're not gonna do a Lion King ice cream candy place 'cause that's not gonna be the

Myka: Right. It doesn't make sense. Yeah.

Jason: So I'm fine with that.

Blaire Braud: Yeah.

Jason: Like it's one hundred percent. when it came to the atrium, we had gotten the announcement that it was Moana as the statue and Pua and Hei Hey, which my son is going to love because he has the little Hei Hey honking chicken toy that he runs around.

Myka: Mm-hmm, mm-hmm. Cova has it too. Mm-hmm.

Jason: what all did they say about the

Blaire Braud: I love that.

Jason: atrium?

Blaire Braud: I love the atrium. I love Moana being there. I think my daughter, you know, that age demographic will love it. I love I think like Moana, I think like girl power, right? Like, you know, like strong.

Myka: Uh-huh.

Blaire Braud: and I think that's an awesome thing to have represented, you know, in the atrium when you first come in and Every little girl taking and every little boy and you know, taking pictures with that. I think that will be that'll be awesome. I loved that. That was another one of my my favorite features was the fact that it was Moana. 'Cause what's more like, you know, ocean than Moana, right? Like, you know, like she's she's perfect on that ship, right? So I thought that that was great. It was just just a matter of time before she was there.

Jason: And if for those who watch the artwork that I have on the background for the show is the atrium. I know you won't be able to see the whole thing because of our faces being in the way. but I think the artwork, the concept for this is crazy. Like I love I loved walking into Wish. It felt classic. it felt felt very Cinderella esque. I'm not a fan of the treasure look. I do it does look agarbah and Aladdin and whatnot is just not the color palette that I like. Destiny surprised me because I didn't like the concept and I love like loved being in that area. But this for Moana, I think it's just crazy. It it looks like you're underwater the way they've designed the the glass, the chandelier, which

Myka: Mm-hmm.

Jason: is you know the big prominent thing that besides the statue Disney does and other atriums or great halls.

Myka: Mm-hmm.

Jason: I I just I think there's gonna be a lot of time spent in here.

Courtni: The the chandelier is gonna be a really big thing to pay attention to. it's gonna move,

Myka: Mm-hmm.

Courtni: like physically move and replicate like rolling ocean currents and waves, and it's gonna feature the heart of Tahiti like somewhere inside of it, concealed.

Myka: I love that. I love that.

Jason: So I wonder the I wonder if the show's gonna have something 'cause you know, like the last night of the show for the destiny is then bringing all the villains out and the heroes and you know, find your destiny. So I wonder if you get to see the heart of Tafidi at some point come out of the chandelier for a show.

Blaire Braud: that that

Courtni: Would be

Blaire Braud: would be amazing. Amazing.

Myka: Yeah. Or like it just lights up itself like wherever it is. Like it'll just light up that green.

Jason: They've put

Courtni: That would be so cool.

Jason: they put the grandmother up there, correct? And Maui's hook. It's all fiber optics in the in the ceiling to kinda make it look more like a nighttime sky that you're looking up into.

Myka: So they could almost like almost do like storytelling with it like throughout the ceiling, like where those things light up if they're in the middle of doing it. That would be really cool.

Blaire Braud: Yeah, yeah.

Jason: Which is something that the the Wishclass ships are amazing at. Like those those shows they put on in the in the hall are super impressive.

Blaire Braud: yeah, that's some of my favorite memories.

Myka: Coming from someone who's never been on a Disney ship. I can't wait to try it.

Blaire Braud: The some of my favorite memories are in the hall with some of those, you know, just random moments that you get in the, you know, like the wish, like Cinderella, that's so classic, right? And then I think that I really like I like Moana being there. like you said, the treasure, not my favorite, like atrium area, but the destiny, I think that that blows me away, right? So, I think it just gives everyone something, right? What I don't, you know, think is my favorite, someone else will, you know, and I think it kinda gives everyone

Jason: Right.

Blaire Braud: to find to find their place, like find their chef, find their, you know, moment. And I think this is really cool. I think giving those characters their own prominent spot and their those atriums are so Disney, right? Like that's what when you think Disney Cruise line, you think of those those n you know, it's it's the wish class cheps, right? Like it's just gorgeous.

Myka: Mm-hmm.

Blaire Braud: And I think this will be no different. I think this will be a fan favorite for sure.

Jason: I just I just I want to get on this ship because it like it does impress me in some places. And like I said, this great hall does. the artwork in the rooms that I've seen, we'll get

Blaire Braud: Mm.

Jason: on that in a little bit. Like it's like they've taken another step in the way they're designing for these things. you know, with a wish, it looked like very classic Disney, especially with the artwork around the ship. And then the Destiny has a little bit more modern. style work and this looks more like paper mache art in in some places, especially in the the rooms that I've seen. Trying to think. The next the other coffee shop that we had, or was it a bar? is what was that theme?

Myka: Hold on, there was I had stuff pulled up.

Jason: 'Cause they had big hero sips and they announced it at the same time and I just I'm just drawing a complete blank.

Blaire Braud: Me too.

Courtni: Cafe Kokomora.

Jason: And that's the cocoa. Right?

Courtni: No, the they're the coconuts from Coco sorry. Yes, it wrong.

Jason: yeah, mo the Moana. Yeah.

Myka: the Kakamura. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.

Blaire Braud: yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. yes.

Jason: Why would that not be the bar one of the coffee shopslash bars on right off the lobby? Makes perfect sense.

Blaire Braud: Yes, yes. All that theming, right? Like it's pretty it's pretty awesome.

Myka: Mm-hmm.

Jason: while we're right here to the the kids club.

Myka: They have the incredible stuff. Hold on. The hero zone, I think.

Jason: They selling all the ships.

Myka: Okay. Again, I haven't been on a Disney cruise ship yet, so

Jason: Well, on the on the wish class ships.

Myka: I'm learning all of this stuff now.

Courtni: It'll have a Monstropolis themed entrance for the Oceaner Club.

Jason: Okay. I couldn't remember. I

Myka: that'll be fun.

Jason: I thought it might have been Zootopia because I knew that was another thing though. But Monstropolis, like Travis saw it. We we watched the recap on the of the live stream and Travis saw that and he's like, When can we go? When can we get on this ship? Because he loves like in like any five year old, he loves any Disney movie, really, but

Myka: Mm-hmm.

Jason: he wants to see the monsters.

Myka: Mm-hmm.

Jason: And that's just the entry point, like that's the big thing because it's Sugar Rush, Wreck It Ralph. on the destiny and then once you get inside it has the Star Wars Lounge, the Princess, the

Myka: Mm-hmm.

Jason: you know, the meat place for the characters. But that whole little area is always really themed out. I really enjoy it. but Zootopia, that's the that's the adult two story lounge. It's named after the the singer, the Shakira song, the gazelle. Yeah.

Myka: Gazelle. Mm-hmm.

Blaire Braud: They actually brought in the Zootopia characters to the reception we were at. to show

Myka: that's fun.

Blaire Braud: yes. We had a bunch of characters, but they were they were probably the most popular, I would say. Like mo a lot of people lined up for them out of all of them. but yeah, they brought them in to show like we are bringing representation to Zootopia to this show. You know, and it that was awesome. That w cause Zootopia, I mean That's another thing in like my kids, you know, growing up, childhood,

Myka: Mm-hmm.

Blaire Braud: that Zootopia is a big deal, right? So it's awesome to have

Myka: Yeah.

Blaire Braud: them represented on the show.

Jason: Yeah, I'm

Myka: And I think another one was the stargazers that is gonna be on there. Another like lounge bar.

Jason: Yes, that's that's the sports bar, if I remember right. That's Caston Canyon and there's a Periscope bar, stuff like that on the wish class ships. It's in the it's right around that area. And that

Myka: Mm-hmm.

Jason: has constellations too, right? They said something about

Myka: Mm.

Jason: LED or

Courtni: Yeah.

Jason: optics in the ceiling for those to see stuff.

Courtni: Yeah, Stargazer's Pub where grown up dreamers can dream.

Myka: Looks really cool. I like that it's kind of like

Courtni: Yeah.

Myka: different.

Jason: feel like those bars don't get as much attention as the one like the Haunted Mansion bar and Cruella, because it's it's so far back or

Myka: Mm-hmm.

Jason: forward. Can't remember. I think it's forward. But it it's it's they're small, they're hard to get into, and because they're also like the sports bar. So on you know, Courtney will be there because if the Ravens are playing, she's gonna be wanting to watch.

Blaire Braud: Mm-hmm.

Courtni: Absolutely.

Jason: But you know I'll I'd be in there for my the Alabama team playing whatever, but other than that, I don't think I'd end up in one of those bars. But while we're while we're talking about bars, the the piano bar is probably the one that my wife will be in the most. 'Cause it's little mermaid themed. what was the

Blaire Braud: Ugh, beautiful.

Courtni: It's C notes.

Myka: C notes. Okay.

Blaire Braud: Isn't that another great name? That's a great name.

Jason: Somebody had a really big dad moment. Like

Courtni: Yes.

Jason: the the imagineer just had like it was like, How many punt dad puns can we put in here?

Myka: Yeah.

Jason: I I'm excited. I can't I don't

Blaire Braud: With sips and sino's.

Jason: yes.

Myka: Yep.

Jason: I wanna know what they're gonna do in there to like top Cruella because I I just don't know how you do it. I just but I think that space is beautiful from the concept art and

Myka: Mm-hmm.

Blaire Braud: yeah. I

Courtni: Yeah.

Blaire Braud: think that was some of the prettiest. Like the prettiest area. Just I could see all the moms in there.

Jason: Yeah, that's that's who you're gonna have to fight. It's not gonna be like the kids. You're gonna have to fight all the moms because

Blaire Braud: Mm.

Jason: I think one of the clues wasn't it like tied to if you watch any of the clues from the wish people who were on that, the they tied it to Prince Eric and it like nine nineteen eighty nine. Jason: the rooms. Let's talk about those first. Did I mention did I miss

Jason: anything big in the the ship?

Blaire Braud: No, I think you're good for that.

Jason: Because we still haven't gotten everything. Like if there's a Dr.

Blaire Braud: Mm-hmm.

Jason: Facilier type experience, they haven't said something like that yet, you know. the theme, well, that's rooms. So the let's go we'll start with the smaller rooms first. you have Moana, Lion King, Coco, Inside Out, Zootopia, Encanto, Toy Story, and Peter Pan. Is that correct?

Blaire Braud: That is correct. Those are the theming of the I know some of those are concierge. and then but yes, that's all the the I think yeah, that's all the room categories. The room themes.

Jason: I don't know. I think I'd have to sp book two rooms. 'Cause my kid would want to

Blaire Braud: I know. It's hard.

Jason: stay in Toy Story. I'd wanna stay in Lion King.

Blaire Braud: Is Toy Story concierge only? Did I say that? I think or they have Toy Story is

Jason: don't So I'm I'm I'll be I'm reading through the AI notes on Google, so I'm not it's cad it's just categorized as state rooms.

Myka: No, you don't he doesn't get a lot of like stuff like about him like on the cruise ships and stuff. So having rooms after him is like I feel like a lot of people like

Blaire Braud: Like that.

Myka: that. Like it's it's very slept on.

Blaire Braud: It is. It is.

Jason: Sorry, I'm just looking through these rooms and it's just mind blowing. Like I said, the art looks like they've taken

Myka: Yeah.

Jason: the paper machets type stuff and just layered it. And it's very, very classic looking, but very modern at the same time.

Blaire Braud: Can we talk about the Tower Suite? Because the Tower Suite themed after magic the

Jason: No one wants to talk about the timers one.

Blaire Braud: Magic Kingdom though? That's pretty that's pretty amazing.

Myka: I know. It is.

Jason: So I I have some really good clients that cruise a lot. And the first thing when

Blaire Braud: Mm-hmm.

Jason: they announced that I did I usually try not to text them during announce announcements just because you know I don't want to feel like overburdening. But once they said, Hey, the tower suite is Magic Kingdom theme, I'm like, hey, guess what? And they're like,

Myka: Mm-hmm.

Blaire Braud: It's amazing.

Jason: We might do it. But there's no the biggest gripe for tower suites are no balcony. And that that killed it for

Blaire Braud: Yes, I've had I've had I have had guests, they were friends of mine, stay in the Tower Suite on the Wish, and so I got to spend time in there. I love it. I mean, gorgeous, right? Like unbelievable. And they will cater, they will do whatever those guests won't. I mean it's amazing, but you're right, no balcony. These particular guests loved having their windows open and everybody being able to see them and that's all you know, that's awesome,

Jason: Yeah.

Blaire Braud: but that's not everybody's, you know. Everybody's thing.

Myka: Yeah.

Blaire Braud: But yes, the

Jason: Well I mean the

Blaire Braud: no balcony is a is a thing.

Jason: The price point for that room is starts around like twenty or thirty for a cruise, right? Depending on the ship and what what the itinerary

Blaire Braud: Correct, correct. This yes.

Jason: was.

Blaire Braud: Yeah, these guests they maxed it out, I believe, capacity wise. So they were a little, you know, on the higher end of that. But yeah, I mean, they thought it was the greatest vacation of their life. So you know, like,

Jason: If I

Blaire Braud: unbelievable.

Jason: If I stayed in that room, I would not be coming out. I don't care what theme it would. Yeah.

Blaire Braud: No, the mother the mother of the family.

Myka: You're like, I'm spending my entire vacation right here.

Blaire Braud: She did. She pretty much stayed in the room the entire time. But yes, so the tower I mean a magic kingdom tower suite. I mean that that is pretty cool. That's pretty cool.

Jason: So that that makes me wonder if we're going to get because we have an Epcot themed to tower suite on the treasure, right? Or was that the Dream's new tower

Blaire Braud: Correct.

Jason: suite? Cause didn't they put one on the Dream or the Fantasy here in recent Dry Doc?

Blaire Braud: Yes, yes, but I don't remember the theme of it.

Jason: So we have a we have an Epcot theme or a Spaceship Earth theme, we have a Magic Kingdom. Are

Blaire Braud: Mm-hmm.

Jason: we going to get an Animal Kingdom theme? Are we going to get a Hollywood studio theme? Because I know Micah will like somehow figure out a way to stay in an Animal King Animal Kingdom theme tower suite.

Myka: Love to.

Jason: And does it come with a

Myka: All the animals from there, giraffe is probably not at the top of my list, but

Jason: it's probably it y you'd want the one that could fit in there and you could see wherever you're standing.

Myka: most docile, probably out of all those animals.

Jason: Yeah, I would I would like to see that. The

Blaire Braud: That would be a s that would be a headline. A headline. A giraffe on the cruise ship. That would be the headline. Disney

Jason: We have the first zoo at sea. And just just to keep going

Jason: to to make the tower suite even more luxurious, the chandelier in there is fireworks themed. So you can sit there and look at fireworks. And yeah.

Blaire Braud: I mean, come on, let's go. Why haven't we booked it yet, Jason? Come on.

Jason: we're we're waiting on Rachel.

Jason: To give us the nice little discount. That's we're we've been trying to get a

Jason: That was the disappointing did y'all go on the tour of the wish with us last year? I can't remember. I was behind a camera.

Blaire Braud: I've tou I've toured the Wish. I've I've sailed the Wish thr twice at least, and I think I've toured it twice. So I don't know if it I'm I'm I don't know if it was with y'all, but I have toured it a couple of times.

Jason: I really wanna see the tower suite and that was this disappointing thing was not being able to walk in there. But we

Blaire Braud: yes.

Jason: did see the Princess Aurora suite, which is almost as crazy.

Blaire Braud: yeah, I've had guests stay in that one as well. And I've it was the same cruise and I got to spend time in that one as well. And that I mean that one is the the balcony.

Jason: For those two bookings, Blair, you could have booked your own tower cruise.

Blaire Braud: I could

Myka: Ha ha ha.

Blaire Braud: have what am I doing? Let's go.

Myka: Ha.

Blaire Braud: but the that one that

Courtni: Yeah.

Blaire Braud: one has a balcony with its own

Jason: Right. And the the other thing that was really cool.

Myka: Mm.

Blaire Braud: And that I I would never leave. Never.

Jason: Yeah, yeah.

Blaire Braud: Mm.

Jason: it also has the opaque glass that turns on and off in the shower. So you can be in the bathroom

Blaire Braud: yeah. yeah.

Jason: and seeing the wonderful views one minute minute. And then when you get in the shower, hit the button and it all goes frosted. It's like

Myka: That's really

Blaire Braud: It

Myka: cool.

Blaire Braud: it's beautiful. It is beau and it's right by the lounge. I mean it what are we doing? Let's go.

Jason: And that for for the belief, this one is themed to Beauty and the Beast. So I mean it's not my favorite, but I mean I would if I'm staying in a cruise on

Blaire Braud: I'd still s I'd stay there.

Jason: Yeah. I would be the beast in the room.

Myka: I Beth does love books, so it makes sense.

Jason: She does. But there's not a library in this room, which I I think is what they're missing.

Myka: That's disappointment. Mm-hmm. At least a fake library.

Blaire Braud: Yeah. With all the classic classic Disney stories in a library, how perfect would that be?

Myka: With the ladder that moves so you could pretend to be Belle.

Blaire Braud: my gosh, you should

Jason: I don't know.

Blaire Braud: be the designer. That would be perfect.

Jason: I don't know how they missed that.

Myka: Even if

Jason: off.

Myka: it didn't move, even if it was

Blaire Braud: I know.

Myka: just there, so you could just do like the picture, like with your arm out, like you're just going on the ladder?

Jason: You know, the other thing I didn't see in there was a actual rose. Like they have a a stained glass in the bedroom of the rose, but I don't see a rose decoration.

Myka: Maybe maybe they're afraid people will steal it.

Jason: Which that's the story, like you mentioned the rows itself, the bar area. if you don't you you probably don't know it, Micah, but in each of the ships there's a different iteration of the rows. So depending on where they are, as the ships get older, I think the pedals drop more.

Myka: Okay.

Jason: So it's like you're getting to the end of the the classes. So the the wish has the most petals up and then as you get further down they get less.

Myka: I did not know that.

Jason: Just a little detail. all the other rooms just look great. Like

Myka: Be happy with any of the themes, like any of

Blaire Braud: Yes, me too.

Myka: them staying in any of them. I don't know if I would necessarily look for a specific theme to stay versus like just location of state room instead, because I just like all of them.

Jason: the concierge state rooms are Neverland and Toy Story, so you were correct. so we'll probably n I will probably never stay in the Toy Story rooms with that's a little bit too rich for my blood. I'm not I'd I'd stay there without everybody. That's bad

Myka: Yeah.

Jason: for me to say, but And then they also have a Little Mermaid Royal Suite. Which looks pretty good itself too.

Blaire Braud: That's cool. Yeah, that's awesome.

Myka: See, they are also though looking at us millennials. They're like, you know what? We are doing the newer stuff with Frozen, Moana, Zootopia, but we're also gonna give you Peter Pan, we're gonna give you Beauty and the Beast, Little Mermaid, so that all of us millennial moms especially, we're gonna like, you know what? I'm gonna go hang out at the Little Mermaid Bar. I'm gonna go to the Rose or all the different things 'cause that's our childhoods.

Jason: that's for sure. I mean, it's a very good blend of all the stuff we've grown up and we're growing our children are growing up on too.

Myka: Mm.

Blaire Braud: I think Disney does that the best, right? Blending something

Myka: Yeah.

Blaire Braud: for everyone

Jason: For sure.

Blaire Braud: into a a vacation it's you know, in itself. But, you know, Disney Cruise line, you only have so much room on a ship, right? To be able to blend that, even

Myka: Mm-hmm.

Blaire Braud: like going back to the room we walked into for the reception where they had all these areas represented for the believe, right? You had something for everyone. Everyone navigated to their favorite area, whether that be the Haunted Mansion parlor, whether that be with Woody and Buzz, you know, or the Encanto with the music and or even they had Frozen rubbers in it. They had Christoph and Anna there, you know. They had something at the reception after they announced this ship, for everyone. And it it brought everyone, you know, to their favorite areas. And Courtney and I definitely did that. Like we, you know, we grew up with Toy Story, right? So we we won we did pictures with Woody and Buzz, right? but then we remember

Myka: Mm-hmm.

Blaire Braud: that our how much our kids love like Kristoff and Anna. So we went to go make sure to go say see them and you know, we grabbed a drink in the haunted mar mansion parlor area. And, you know, it was just seeing everybody's eyes just kind of like light up in this area

Myka: Mm-hmm. Yeah.

Blaire Braud: was really awesome.

Jason: That's like like going back to the this is how Disney's does stuff. The I've only been on the ro one Royal cruise that we've talked about in the past. there's nothing as as Disney on Royal. Like they can they can outsource the characters from DreamWorks, from Elimin Elimination, Looney Tunes, whatever, and it's not gonna get the draw that the Disney characters get. And you can see

Blaire Braud: Never.

Jason: that 'cause at one point Universal did license out their characters to a cruise line. I don't think they still they do it anymore. I don't think they're made a bump in their their bookings at all. Because no one's like, Hey, I don't want to go on a cruise with SpongeBob SquarePants. They want to go on a cruise with Mickey Mouse or with, you know, Ariel or Moana now. So that's that's the really big drawing point.

Myka: Mm-hmm. Yes.

Jason: I'm just excited about the ship talking about it now.

Myka: Mm-hmm. Yes.

Blaire Braud: I know, it's Courtney and I had the ears made that saved Disney believe on them for the event and we're like, well now we gotta go on the ship to re wear our ears. So why haven't we booked a cruise yet, Courtney?

Myka: Absolutely. It gives you it's like you

Jason: sharks, I have to book a cruise.

Myka: have a reason to go now, besides just wanting to. You have to go. Yeah.

Blaire Braud: I know. I know. Courtney, I'm

Courtni: Yes.

Blaire Braud: calling you tomorrow.

Myka: Ha ha

Courtni: Sounds good, I'm ready.

Jason: And because because you got the maid in the magic kingdom, I'm assuming you have to stay in the tower suite then too. So just I mean I it's it's

Blaire Braud: Jason, you make so much sense. I knew I liked you, Jason.

Myka: Makes sense.

Courtni: There's No other way.

Jason: I mean I'm just gonna have to go stay in the Epcot Tower whenever I'd make I don't ever make home like custom ears 'cause I don't wear But I'll do something custom at Epcot so I have to stay in that tower sweet.

Blaire Braud: Ha ha ha

Myka: If there's an animal kingdom suite at some point in the future, I'll do the same.

Blaire Braud: Yeah.

Jason: I would very curious on how they do that. Very curious.

Blaire Braud: Lots of zebra print fabrics.

Myka: It's just gonna look like Animal Kingdom Lodge on the

Jason: be animal print. So you have zebra print, leopard print, cheetah print, it's all over

Blaire Braud: Everywhere.

Jason: the place, and then a bunch of green plants. And it's gonna no air conditioning. It's gonna be one hundred percent.

Myka: Mm-hmm. And they're just gonna have no air conditioning since Animal Kingdom's like the hottest part. So it's just gonna feel

Blaire Braud: A hundred Yes.

Myka: like you're in a rainforest all the time.

Jason: We'll turn the f the sprinklers on.

Blaire Braud: A hundred percent humidity.

Myka: Yep. That's what's gonna happen.

Jason: Now if you could if that that Magic Kingdom suite, if you have a perfect view of the fireworks from the night,

Myka: Mm, that would

Jason: that would just sit there with a Mickey Bar in your Magic Kingdom Tower, watching fireworks, it's just like you're at the Magic Kingdom.

Blaire Braud: Mm-hmm. Some lucky people.

Myka: Uh-huh.

Blaire Braud: That's some lucky guests right there.

Myka: With Happily Ever After playing on the T V so you can just have the music going while the cruise line I know they don't do a ton of fireworks, but still you could just get the whole ambiance of Magic Kingdom that way.

Jason: yeah, I forgot about music. I wonder if they're gonna play like Main Street music in the background for like Not all day, but like when you walk in or something,

Blaire Braud: I

Jason: is it playing Magic

Myka: Mm-hmm.

Jason: Kingdom loop?

Myka: Mm-hmm. Maybe.

Jason: The up thing.

Blaire Braud: that would be cute.

Myka: Mm-hmm.

Jason: Maybe maybe you get in on a omnibus to get there. Maybe they drive you up through an omnibus.

Myka: Just a moving walkway that you have to use to get to your room.

Jason: A people mover.

Myka: A people mover, yeah.

Jason: That'd be like instead of the Aquamouse, which we don't have a theme for the Aquamass, it needs to be a people mover.

Myka: Mm-hmm.

Jason: And since you go around the tower and just makes sense.

Blaire Braud: Yeah. You too.

Jason: You get on the people mover.

Blaire Braud: Funny thing about that is I was worried about noise in the suite because that you know, it's right there now. Soundproof. You can't really hear anything from the from the slides or anything. But it was pretty cool.

Myka: They've done such a good job with that, like soundproofing stuff. Like I even feel

Blaire Braud: Yeah.

Myka: like a different cruise line I went on la this past year for spring break. Like I really don't like we had a balcony and stuff and we were only one deck below the pool deck above us. And if our balcony door was closed, I could not hear the music. I did not hear chairs moving around on the deck. Like they've done a really good job. Like in the past, I've done carnival and we were one deck below and we could hear every chair moving. All the noise and it wasn't like that on my cruise in April.

Jason: That's probably when the fight broke out.

Myka: On carnival?

Jason: Yeah.

Myka: Probably. I don't know. We were I was in my room enjoying my balcony, so

Jason: Excuse me. we have anything else bit Disney Believe wise we want to talk about? Like there was a lot to cover, but

Blaire Braud: Think that's good. Yeah, I think that's good.

Jason: I'm I'm ready to s they they did say they were gonna bring more character interactions. They learned that from people like that from the Destiny. So seeing that come out and walk around type stuff, I think that's gonna be great. Travis really enjoyed that part 'cause when we did see Spider Man on the Destiny, it was just we got off the elevator and turned the corner and he was walking right there. I'll say one one more complaint that I hope they fix.

Myka: You don't ever complain, Jason.

Jason: I don't ever complain. Rachel, if you put us in the tower suite, I I will make a podcast for a year where I don't complain about anything.

Blaire Braud: no.

Jason: That's a challenge. the shopping on the Wish and the Destiny seems weird to me because you have the nice luxury stores right there on the main floor and Mickey's main cells tucked up in a corner. I wish they would just go ahead and move Mickey main cell down to I think it's watches and jewelry right there on the one side of the ship.

Blaire Braud: Ya, yeah. Mhm.

Jason: 'Cause Mickey's seems so cramped when everybody's going in there and there's no one going in the jewelry store. So I kinda wish they would flip-flop those so you have more walkway. And it it makes sense 'cause on the classic street

Blaire Braud: You notice everything.

Jason: that's when you're a fat guy like me and you're trying to get through Mickey's

Blaire Braud: Yeah.

Jason: main cell with everybody crammed in there, and then on top of it, Mickey like that one's at the exit of Arendelle and Lion King and Coco. So After dinner everybody's walking through, so it gets really cramp.

Blaire Braud: That extra. After dinner i I think it's the busiest it it ever is. Yeah. You can't move.

Jason: Yeah, and it's it just doesn't make sense where it is to me. And it it's the same deck as guest services too, right? No, I think it's the deck above. But still, you know, di the Dream, the Wonder, all those classic ships, Mickey's and White Cells are right across from each other. So it makes it a little bit easier and you can flow back and forth between the two stores. I just I just wish it would do like that. 'Cause who goes on the cruise to buy, you know, thousand dollar watches? I'll buy a thousand dollars worth of shirts and the stack chain.

Blaire Braud: With a lounge fly.

Myka: Cups. I'll buy a thousand dollars worth of cups.

Jason: I buy the Roosevelt shirts are what I buy. I'll end up spending seventy dollars on a Roosevelt shirt and next week when I'm on a ship.

Myka: Mm-hmm.

Jason: That's my like that's the one thing I really gripe like everybody gripes about the elevators on the wish and that it's not the best designed. I think Destiny feels really like laid out.

Courtni: Like.

Jason: While it's the same design, it feels good. I do get it on the wish where people were complaining. So I hope the believe feels the same way the the Destiny feels where it's kind of flows well and you can get around easily. Just move that one shop down and the jewelry shop up.

Blaire Braud: You should let the powers that be know that.

Jason: I think that's all. I will next time on a cruise I'm just gonna find the captain and be like, Hey sir, can you switch these two out? And as we get closer to Christmas, just go ahead and put the Haunted Mansion up over there. The Holiday Haunted Mansion. Because could you imagine the bookings if they if somebody got on a ship for the first maritime cruise and all of a sudden they walked in the haunted mansion bar and it was holiday haunted mansion and they posted it, yeah. They would

Myka: People would go crazy. Yeah.

Jason: see every

Courtni: They would.

Jason: ship, it would be broke it would it would be sold out within two weeks.

Blaire Braud: Yeah, you couldn't get on it. Yeah. Yeah. It'd be crazy.

Jason: 'Cause I think Jack and Sally do meet on the ships during Christmas. Not positive. But I would for sure try to get there. But I do think that's that's all the the believe information. Do y'all have any any cruises or anything y'all are fixing to go on that you're looking forward to?

Jason: on H H N for somebody who's not into that type of stuff so much? And would you do it again?

Courtni: I actually loved it. I had a lot of fun. I I love the behind the scenes stuff, like how detailed everything is and the making of it all. Like that is so interesting and so neat. I loved the scare zones probably more than the houses themselves. but yeah, we had a great time. I definitely would do it again.

Myka: Did you have a favorite house you went through?

Courtni: I liked I don't know the name of it, the one with the clowns.

Myka: Okay. The

Jason: Jack and Oddfellow.

Myka: yeah, Jack and Oddfella. Mm-hmm.

Courtni: Yes, I loved that one.

Jason: For the spinning room.

Myka: Okay. That one was fun. Like it wa it was a lot of fun.

Courtni: Yeah. Yeah, we made it through we only made it through five of them.

Myka: Okay.

Courtni: but spent a lot of time doing some of the other other things and few of the rides that were open. So it was a good time.

Jason: But y'all did a lot of that during the stay in screen too, if I remember right. Y'all y'all hit a lot of that up first thing.

Courtni: Yes. Yeah. Most of the houses were done in the the beginning part of our our study. Yeah.

Myka: Did you watch the show?

Courtni: We did not. We missed the show.

Jason: see, and I would have thought that would have been a a high point for your daughter since she does that type of stuff. I was yeah.

Myka: like dancing and stuff. The show is one of those things, like if you go back next year, like the show from someone who actually like doesn't mind the houses and doing stuff, but the show is like my favorite part every like the last two years we've been.

Courtni: Okay.

Myka: It's really good. Like it's acrobatics, it's dancing. last year they had a guy that did contortionist stuff, which I can't handle anything that's like gross in the human body that's not normal. And this year they had a guy that swallowed swords and like did push ups while swallowing sword. So just the show itself is

Jason: And put a cork through through his nose.

Myka: yeah, it was like I couldn't watch it. I literally was like this the entire time not watching it. that part, but everything else, like the dancing, there's girls that come out that twirl fire and do all kinds of stuff with it. And like the storytelling's really easy to follow. It's just, it's really good. Like it's one of those things where it's definitely worth waiting forty minutes in line if you need to to get in there to watch it. Like it's really good.

Courtni: Okay. Definitely on the list for next time then.

Myka: Yes.

Jason: Blair, do you do H H N?

Blaire Braud: Okay, so I have it in years. my son is trying to convince me to do it this year. And I'm like, We have two weeks. I mean it's what, an hour away.

Jason: the way I told Ter Terry the other night was that all the houses, they like two of them are super scary. They're all pretty easy though. Like Yeah, they're not they're more gory than anything. They're not like but they're all easy. Yes.

Myka: I wouldn't even say super scary. Yeah. We definitely had houses last year that were scarier than this year.

Jason: Cause the Jason house was scary. And like Terrifier wasn't terrifying, but it was bloody.

Myka: Yeah, the Jason House was definitely scary. It was just gross. It was just gross. Well, it sounds like

Blaire Braud: Yeah, my kids are my kids are universal

Jason: This would be a good year to go with unless you

Blaire Braud: kids, so I think that they would my fourteen year old.

Myka: Well, it sounds like Blair and Courtney are gonna go with us next year to H H N.

Courtni: I'd love to.

Jason: That's what we can with it

Courtni: Blair's in if I'm in, so we're good.

Myka: There we go. Look, 'cause we're trying to get like and we're trying to like get a group together like if we get enough people to do like a private RIP as well. Like where we could split it between ten people

Blaire Braud: Ooh, yeah.

Myka: and it makes it a lot more like easy to pay for when you're wanting to do that. And that way we get all the the backstory and lore of all the houses as you're going through. You get to go to special bars. They take you you get special seating for the show. Like, I don't know. It sounds like a great time to me.

Jason: It's a it is like I haven't done private but I've done regular R I P and it's it's crazy. But I

Myka: My bosses did

Myka: a private RAP and they love it.

Blaire Braud: likes backstores. So Mm.

Myka: And they now took a page

Blaire Braud: Sounds like fun.

Myka: out of Disney for VIP and you can get special merch with the R. I. P. stuff like shirts and

Jason: Yes.

Myka: hats and stuff too now.

Blaire Braud: That's cool.

Myka: Mm-hmm.

Blaire Braud: I did not know that.

Jason: Which is the only reason I wanted to do it this year.

Courtni: Yeah, that's really fun.

Jason: It's I think it's just a shirt though. I don't think it's much. I think it's just a shirt this year. Just a sec kind of s yeah.

Myka: is it well, they're probably seeing if people want it.

Jason: I'll go to the they have a

Blaire Braud: Think they would. Yeah.

Myka: My boss got one, like my boss's husband, like he specifically as soon as I told him, like, hey, this year they started doing merch for the R.I.P. tours, he was like on board right away. Like as soon as he met the R.I.P tour guide and they were like eating food in La Bamba, he's like, Where where's the R.I.P merch? Like when do we get to see that? And he was like, it's right over here. And then he went and got his shirt.

Jason: I think I'll make a trip right after Halloween horror nights to see if they have any of that stuff on sale in their annual pass room that they have in the team members discount store. 'Cause I'd buy it.

Myka: They might. Alright, we have it recorded that they said yes to next year, so they can't back out now.

Jason: Yes.

Courtni: Come in.

Blaire Braud: Just play this.

Jason: Yeah.

Myka: Mm. 'Cause we already told Terry she doesn't have to do next year if she doesn't want to, because she's done two years in a row for us, so
