This is actually a really good surprise for me and Micah because we were talking ⁓ D twenty three and this was just gonna be me and her talking about this because Terry had stuff going on with her kids. Rachel had stuff going on with her kids, and then we get a text saying, Hey, we're gonna be on. So Rachel and Terry are on here too. We were so prepared for it to be so like just the two of us. Well, I did not go to back to school night. So I realized that there was no I figure any communication is gonna be done via email. So I'm gonna go there to go sit in an auditorium and it's gonna be stuff I've already read in the emails. Mace has already done his schedule. He went there this morning. So why do I need to go? It's not I'm gonna be sitting with the teachers, it's high school. And the same stuff that you've heard for so many years now, they haven't really changed anything, I'm sure. Right. So when this bell goes off tonight. Make sure you're in classroom versus when this bell goes, you have to get to the next classroom. Yeah. And by high school they don't want to be seeing with you anyway. It's not like you're gonna go. When I when I picked him up today, there was a mom that was like standing out by her car, like waving. Like and I would have been like I kind of expected you to get out the pink wig or something like that and do that to him. No, I don't want to embarrass him. I feel like this is enough of embarrassment. No it's not. Shut your mouth. That's you embracing who you are and we love it about you. They're embarrassed over anything. It doesn't like I like to talk to my kids in public sometimes. They're like, shit, mom, quiet. I'm like, I'm just literally just talking, like asking the question. So this episode, we're talking all things D twenty three, which that tells you how much Rachel didn't want to go to back to school stuff because she was like, I don't care about this. But I think it's great because that gives us that perspective of, you know, the person who doesn't who doesn't care so much to keep up with the what's happening in 15 years in the park. There's just There to make sure your vacation's good. I love this stuff. Me and Micah, we stayed up. Well, I stayed up and watched the whole thing. Micah stayed up for about I missed like the last fifteen or twenty minutes. Yeah. I didn't I miss like the last I went yeah I went to bed at like midnight, I think I texted you. It was like eleven fifty midnight. I was like, I'm not staying up for the rest of this. Yeah, it was it was about twelve thirty, one o'clock when I got in bed my time. So it was Did you have to work the next day? At the church I did. Sunday. ⁓ yeah, 'cause this day was Sunday. This was Saturday night. I think I just missed a few of like the last announcements. They were going into Disney Cruise line and then they had a couple things. You missed the good announcements. I was tired. I just felt like I watched a very long thing for not a lot of stuff. So we'll just say this at the top so that we can get past it. The show itself was a great experience to watch because it was a very big show. Mm-hmm. The bad thing was It was a bunch of filler. I think they had nine musical performances. Wow. Including one. Like it it was a late night show. If and they when they released that, we should have said, ⁓ this isn't gonna be like a huge announcement thing. This is it's gonna be talking. But ⁓ like they started with a big dance number music song and dance number with Neil and a bunch of cameos of random Hollywood celebrities. That it was probably a solid five minutes of singing. About animatronics on top of that. Which was fun because they made fun of the Yeti. They made fun of Olaf falling o over, stuff like that. Which was the funniest thing that they literally had someone come out dressed as Olaf and then just fall over on the stage like he did in what was it, in Paris at the frozen Yes. Yeah. So yeah, we had all that Bet came out and sang a few songs. It was like what? And then Cheryl Crow sang songs from the car stuff and it's just Yeah. There was there was a lot of singing. A lot. So let's run through some of the non I I'm gonna call ⁓ non announcements because there was really no information, but they were cool announcements. The first thing was like the the president of of the experiences, I don't know his name. He came out first and foremost and said, Hey, this is all about we hear you and we're going to do stuff. And at the same time it was like we hear you, but we're not telling you any. He interrupted one of We hear you, but we're not gonna do what you're saying. Yes. So he interrupted one of the first things that Neil was doing, and I can't remember what the the segment was, just to break and say, Hey, guess what? We're fixing the Yeti. So Animal Kingdoms, ⁓ Everest will have the Yeti working again. No time timeline. That was the thing, is like, hey, we're just gonna fix it. Mm-hmm. We just don't know when. And then they told us that the nickname was Disco Yeti because of the strobe lights, and then we got an entire disco song. Yes. Yes, Everybody knows it as Disco Yeti 'cause it's the strobe lights on the on the Yeti, but so they're like, Hey, we know what you call our Yeti. So we're Did you hear why the Yeti's being fixed? Because apparently Josh Damarro's mom went to him and was like, You guys need to fix the Yeti. And then he was like, Mom, I'm not high up in the company enough to fix that. And apparently when he became CEO, he's like, Hey guys, my mom said we really need to fix the Yeti. Well, thank you, Josh Damaro's mom, because it only worked for a year after the thing opened. And someone else said, ⁓ they're gonna fix something that they should have fixed a long time ago that shouldn't have been broken for this long. Yeah or if what put it was put in correctly, it wouldn't have been broken. Yeah, and it's not the yeti that's broken, it's the foundation structure around the yeti that's broken. So they're fixing that so the yeti can work. ⁓ Joe Rhodes I will not be going on it, so I'll I love it. I'll do it. It gets me sick. It is just kind of bootleg that it's like once every ten year. Well it just doesn't work. And it hasn't worked since what, 1999? It was two thousand and two thousand six. Animal King ⁓ when did Everest open? I guess it didn't open. The next thing they announced was ⁓ something they announced at D twenty three of twenty nineteen, which was Spaceship Earth is getting updated. And you know, that's all they said. They didn't once again no timeline. They just said, Hey, guess what? Space Spaceship Earth, you're getting updated. And they said it's going to be the same classic story that we're used to. It's just going to be narrative of growing together and stuff like that. It's not necessarily communication. It's just becoming one culture type thing. But again, just like twenty nineteen, no date on it or when it's gonna be done. Just that it will be updated. Just going to here it is. Mm-hmm. The very end of the show was weird because Neil Patrick Harris came out in a like a cloak, like a Jedi cloak, with his back to the audience and the LED walls opened up. And he was like, stop, you're supposed to announce something for me because that's what I signed on for. And he turned around and took the cloak off and he's wearing the Dreamfinder costume. So they confirmed that Dream Finder is going to be coming into journey into your imagination with Figment. It's going to be brand new attraction. This is how bad Disney did at this job, because they had to put a release out saying because people thought that they're just bringing a meet and greet for Dreamfinder and that the Yeti was going to be completely dismantled and put a new Yeti in. They said no, the Yeti's going to be fixed, not replaced. And Dreamfinder and Figment are coming into a brand new attraction in the future. We don't know when. So once again, we hear you. We know you love Dreamfinder. We just don't know when we're going to do this. I don't even know what Dreamfinder is because I avoid Figment. Yeah. So he's just it seemed kind of Yeah. He debuted. I don't know the whole history of Dreamfinder. ⁓ so I'm not a Huge Figment fan myself. He's a jolly red bearded inventor in a top hat who used his flying machine to collect ideas. And Figment is a playful purple dragon. He created using the two tiny wings. Now, Neil Patrick Harris does do the voice for Dreamfinder in the short they have on Disney, like how to draw Figment. So that's like that's why they kinda like maybe he's gonna be the voice for Dream Finder in the news b ⁓ ride. That makes sense. There's gonna wait, a new ride? It's gonna be they're gonna close the ride. Got it. When are they doing that? No, there's no date. There's no date. Literally they said, Hey, we're doing this, roll credits. Yeah. Actually they said we're doing this, Beck sing us out and Beck sing another song. Do you think that like they are like if we don't put any expectations out there then people can't be let down if we don't meet The deadline. So we're just gonna tell ⁓ we're doing it, but we're not gonna put a a date on it. That way if it doesn't get done by that date, we can't complete which we know potentially we know they do the history of that. I mean the Main Street Theater that they announced in twenty seventeen, I think, or twenty fifteen. It was supposed to go behind Tony's, that never came to fruition. So I mean, you they all the play pavilion, I think that was twenty nineteen, the festival center th and the Epcot redo, that was supposed to happen and it never did. So I mean They announce these and give dates on some of ⁓ and it just never happens. So yeah, there might be some f f validity to that. I think that's probably why I don't really follow the D twenty three like all these other people do, because it never happens. Like I'll believe it when I see it. Mm-hmm. So we'll get to that here in a minute because that's that's something for me. I know. But ⁓ Lies Little Bit was we did get a ⁓ a year for or a date, not a full on date, but a year. So next year, Disneyland will be getting back the magic happens parade. Remember Dreams Come True, nighttime show. And the OG World of Color, which is my favorite world of color, is getting updated for next year. So if you're going out to Disneyland, it's probably it's gonna be fun to be able to go and see those things. That original world of color is so good. Like my favorite part was like the Pirates of the Caribbean, like. Entire portion of it. It's so good. As long as Simba doesn't go crying for Mufasa. He will. We should keep that. Why you mentioned that? We ⁓ we we didn't put all this stuff that we're gonna fix we're going to talk about now is all based off y on the US stuff. Just because we don't really deal with international parks so much, we don't go to the rules more but they can we we just don't care. Paris is getting a Lion King Splash Mountain. Yeah. That was announced two years ago. That was that was two years ago for Adventure Wor ⁓ Adventure World or whatever they call it. It's the old Holl Disney Studios. So I text Micah and I was like, Hey, ⁓ is the splash when Mufasa falls off the cliff? That'd be terrible. That's what I would think. I mean that it just makes it makes sense. But they said it has something to do with Scar. Okay, so let's start Yeah, it's like when Scar and Yeah, so when Scar and ⁓ Simba have their big final fight. I'll often it be something fun like Sakuna Matado. You know, when they're doing that whole thing, like I can see that. That they have a waterfall there. There is a waterfall there. There is that's what I was thinking. I wasn't thinking dead lions. Like that wasn't I mean, that's what the whole movie's about. I mean I know, but I think they make a ride about it. Going to Walt Disney World for the for their announcements. Carousel Progress. They gave us an opening date of late spring twenty twenty seven. That could be, you know, June. What, June nineteenth? It's still spring, so I would kind of expect Memorial Day weekend. Yeah, that's what I was gonna say. It's probably Memorial Day weekend. And they said ⁓ Jamie Lee Curtis is gonna be mom and Brian Cranson will be the voice of dad. I think those are pretty good voice actors for the two. I don't know who the Brian Cranson is. He's breaking back he was also like the voice of every villain in the Power Ranger. Got it. ⁓ that's why Billy the Blue Ranger, his last name is Billy Cranston, because of Ryan Cranston. The ⁓ random stuff that I know that I should just I guess shouldn't know. Go over to Animal Kingdom for a second. The Indiana Jones attraction got its name revealed. It's the myth of the Jade Serpent. This will be actually the first Indiana Jones of anything outside of the movies that features Harrison Ford's likeness. And they're using like an aged up Indiana Jones too, like an older version of Indy. Yeah. I just thought it was I thought it was weird though that Harrison hadn't signed off on his likeness on action figures and all that stuff. Like this is the first Harrison Ford Indiana Jones ever. He was waiting for Yeah, I was gonna say maybe the pay wasn't big enough and he's like, it ain't worth it. And now they're like, We really want this before you die because you're getting old. So can we pay you enough money? That's too much. We can't give it to you. You are going to the underworld of the Mayans. Mm-hmm. So go along with Mr. Toad, you get a go to hell. And you get a s you know, go against snakes and fire and ice and all that. It should be fun. They ha they showed pictures of progress of the temple out front. It lo I mean, the outside and stuff looks really great. Like it looks good for what they're doing. I think they're learning that they have to get stuff done in a timely manner, so Once again, we don't have dates for this, so it's probably gonna be twenty twenty eight, twenty twenty nine. I is the ball still not in place for the ⁓ Indiana Jones attraction? The the show in Hollywood Studios? Yeah, I don't know. Like the ball's still not like in it? The crater, what do they call it? The boulder? The boulder. I'm like the crater. That's a nice boulder. Wrong park, sorry. Stay in that tropical Americas area right quick. It's a fest Fiesta de Encanto is the Fiesta. Fiesta. It's a party. So that's the name of the Encanto ride. ⁓ it's going to take you to the day ⁓ of the gift giving that you see in the movie for It's for Antonio. You have the boy on here, but it's Antonio. I don't The Boy. I did that. We'll take you through the gift giving day for the boy. It's Antonio. I don't care. I the sh the movie's fun. I enjoy it, but I just don't I know Mirabelle. We don't talk about Brune. And Bruno. No, no, no. So it's a trackless ride and it's gonna feature like fifty animals. And this is one of those that's like they just patented patented some really cool tech that makes you feel like you're going upstairs, but you're actually just staying flat the entire time. ⁓ And the animatronics for some of these like Capibera that's gonna be in this are adorable. That's the one I wanna ride is the Capibera. Yeah, it they are like the Cappy Bear like they have one that looks like a Cat Ba is like stuck inside a basket and its butts just sticking out like for one of the scenes. Do you do you is you're on an animal No, so what it looks like is like the casita is supposed to help you travel through the house so it brings things together. So the front of the car might look like the piano or something else, like or a table. So you're sitting inside that. But the carousel That's gonna be in tropical Americas is gonna have like twenty-two different animals who're weird. Well, if you're at the concept art, like of Timon, they like extend Timon's tail and you're like sitting on Timone's butt. Yeah with his tail out. It's and it's not just Timone. No, it's a a lot of them. Yeah, I don't think there's a Hey Hey. There's Pua. There's there and then you have Cuzco, you have ⁓ what's the Bird from Ariel. Scuttle. Scuttles there, yeah. Eeyore. But if if you know when you ride a a carousel or merry-go-round, the saddle's always on the back of the animal. These pedals are on the butt of all of ⁓ Well, not all. Ninety five percent of them. But anything that's like a two-legged animal, it looks weird on. So like Timon looks really weird to me. But like Pooh is fine because he's a pig, so he's a four-legged animal. That's gonna say four legged. I know it is weird. No. No, no, you need to look up the pictures. It's weird. Angela posted it in the travel agent group of what some of these look like. Yeah, they're weird. And they they I mean like they look good. They look like really good pieces of art, but it's just awkward where they've put these saddles. When like I feel like they could have I know they're doing this for like a lot of like the animals and sidekicks for a lot of the movies, but I feel like there's enough like known Disney horses as well that you could have a carousel full of like Disney horses. I see that, but I think they keep that to Disney like the Magic Kingdom in Disneyland where it's the castle horse. I like the different animals. But like maybe there's enough four legged animals where they could like Do it so it didn't look weird. Instead of like getting like Timones. Does that make sense? Like Pumba makes more sense because he's four legged. Yeah. But they're in Pua, so But if you look over at DCA when they redid the Little Mermaid ⁓ carousel to Jesse's Roundup, it was critters. So it's not those horses or anything, it's just random critters. Yeah. So it makes sense that they do like how they're given secondary characters. you know, a life. Mm-hmm. And I know there's a I do wish they would do something like give it a kick where it's like not just up and down. Like if they could maybe like I don't know. Like the care like the celestial carousel. Celestial one where it's do something more with it than just the around and around up and down. Like make it cool. And they'd be copying universal and they don't want to do that. Or they could I don't know. I just feel like they're something more. I agree. I think We're at a point now where carousels are great and merry go rounds are great, but we have the technology to make ⁓ like memorable. Yeah. Yeah. Or make ⁓ like two story double deck or something cool about that. That was let's do the Mary Go the ⁓ Mary Poppins one that they announced in twenty seventeen. Let's move over to my favorite topic for Walt Disney World. Villains Land. Villains Land, we got the official name. It is Villain's Land. I went to sleep before this announcement. Yeah, like this was I was kind of like, okay. So they they did come out and they're like, Hey, here's why we're calling it Villains Land because it's you know tomorrow land, it's Frontierland, it's adventureland, it's villains land. Or just because all of us have already been calling it that and it would be really hard to Or everyone would always refer to it. Like you would always refer to it as villains land, no matter what it was called. There's been a post being circulated on Diz Twitter. I guess it's Diz Diz X now. I don't know. But Jennif Jenny Nichols did a three hour video about this ⁓ Starcruiser after it closed and then her experience with it. It's great. If you have three hours, go watch it. Watch it. And in that there's a 15 minute clip where she talks about how Disney marketing is horrible because if you're an influencer signing up to go to Disney Parks, you have to call everything by its official name. So You're calling it Star Wars Galaxy's Edge. You were going on Star Wars Rise of the Resistance, or you're riding Millennium Falcon Smugglers Run. So when you talk when these influencers are making their videos, they're like, You should go ride Smuggler Millennium Falcon Smugglers Run and Star Wars Galaxy's Edge in Disney's Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Whereas the normal normal person would say, Hey, I gotta fly this out and s and Star Wars land at Disney. You know, so the point was maybe Disney's marketing listened to that video and they're like, No matter what, they're gonna just gonna call this villains land. So we need the influence to call it villains land. So and you if you look at all the names that we got, so like the ⁓ Fiesta De De Acanto, the carousel name I can't even remember, but Indiana Jones and the myth of the Jade Serpent was like the longest, but it makes sense because it's an Indiana Jones and that's how they are. Or the fact that we were already calling it Monstropolis before they officially called it Monstropolis, just that it like a monster's land. Yes, they're all very simple names so that it just rolls off when an influencer's talking. I would win. I absolutely hate when it's like eighteen worms in the title. Yeah. Universal Universal's the same way, right? Hagrid's motorbike adventure and magical motor. Magical, magical motorbike adventure. It's like sixteen words and it's like I just wanna say I'm on ride ride Hagrid's but you're Hagrids, yeah. So ⁓ back to villains. The they have said we're getting a Maleficent coaster that's gonna go through the Briar Patch around her castle. They showed off models of this. And then we're also gonna have a dark ride where we go into the catacombs of the evil queen castle through the magic mirror, and you'll see multiple villains. ⁓ they have said that it's probably not gonna be a motor ⁓ water ride like people have talked about. Is the ride vehicle looks like the scoop from Spider Man or what you get in for Transformers? Yeah. I was really hoping that they would bring the technology over from the Pirates of the Caribbean and Shanghai and do like a similar type. I don't know if you guys have ever watched a ride through video of that, but it's fantastic. Like the tech that they have for that and how it's like a water ride but not a water ride, like boat ride and just what they have for that. I was kinda hoping they would bring something. I think we get that at some point. But yeah. I will say going into more than that. That ⁓ when when we first started getting previews ⁓ from the ⁓ imagineering pavilion, they have the Piston Peak huge display. I mean like massive detailed display, and then over in the corner here's two trees because you're going to enter through the dark forest. That's all they had of Villains Line. I'm like, they really aren't going to announce anything for Villains Line in this thing. They're just gonna say And those weren't those were clay trees. They said they had to ship them special from Orlando in refrigerated boxes because they were being used in Orlando and they had to ship them back the same way. So like crazy. It's crazy that we're so far away from the original announcement from villains. But now that we've got a little bit more concrete evidence, I'm still hoping this happens. I'm still questionable if it does though. I know. I hope it does. I it's just it's gonna be twenty thirty five to twenty forty before we get it, but They say the coaster is like and what we saw is Vlosscoaster style. Like it is a thrill coaster. Yeah, like you're doing like that. And they joked about it that if you look at the concept they showed, like it looks like the paddock section of the Vlossicoaster. Yeah. So I'm I'm excited if Disney says we're putting something that is very adult coaster themed in this place. I have Go ahead, Terry. No, I was just saying I just want the dragon integrated into the coaster. I think that would be like if you have Malef Maleficence Dragon. Right. If you have a thrill coaster and then you have the dragon somehow in there, I think that's a good theme for that kind of ride. Mm-hmm. I think we'll get that. I think we'll get a dragon in this somewhere. Whether it's in the 'cause you know, over in ⁓ Paris and Sleeping Beauty Beauty Castle there. You can under the castle and and so I think we'll get a dragon in this. I I I really hope we get Chinabog, but probably won't. He might be in the ride, the villains ride. Maybe. I was gonna say that's gonna be like a mix of villains. Like you're gonna see a lot of villains. And it's gonna be a lot of projection too. And they can do it because since you're going through the magic, the magic mirror, you can it will look flat so they don't have to do that. But they there's probably gonna be good sets too. I would I think it's gonna be a solid land. This was also another place though where they got people confused because Glenn Close came out as Corella Deville talking about a ride. And they're like, ⁓ we're getting a Corella ride too. And then Disney in that same press that I mentioned earlier said no, she's gonna have an experience of her own, like a shop or something, not a ride. Which that whole interaction too with Glenn Close and Neil Patrick was really weird. See, I didn't see any of that. I mean Wow. I went to bed. So it it got me excited for Villains Land. It it may happen one day. And like I said, if it happens, I'll be there, you know Day one. But not day one, but I'll be there probably month one. I just wanted to focus on different villains as well. Like, you know, we you know the Cruellas and the Maleficent and things like that, but there's a bunch, you know, you kinda get tired if you've got like ones. You want like Prince Hans? Yeah, or East Farr. Yeah, just far's a good one. Yeah, just like the different ones than the ones we've we've seen walking around. So they're great, but just something fresh. I don't think we get a lot of that. I think we the villain show that's happening right now in Hollywood Studios is the the test of it. You see what, it's Hook is Ruella. Who's the third one? Hades. There's Hades. I mean we have Evil Queen with her ⁓ with the ⁓ dinner and stuff with Snow White over at Right where's that at it? ⁓ Wilderness Storybook. Yeah, storybook dining at Artist Point. I think we can get more points. There you go. What's the whole name? The whole thing. Storybook dining at Artist Point. Yeah. Featuring the Evil Queen. But yeah, is that what it is? I'm sure. Yeah. At Wilderness Lodge. At Disney's Wilderness Lodge Resort. In Walt Disney World. In Walt Landor, which is in London or Laporta. Which is the United States of America. If you confuse one, you're Floridas. Yeah, we're just doing all. We're gonna do it all. Yeah, Villains Land looks like it's gonna be a little bit more and it's gonna be f I think if it happens, it's gonna be fun. And what they did over in ⁓ Dark Universe will be will be great if they can kind of mirror that walking around of different villains. And I feel like it's gonna be like once they get it, like a pretty decent sized land for there to be a ⁓ dark ride and a roller coaster and they're talking about shops and restaurants with character experiences as well. Like I feel like it's gonna have to be close to the size of like tomorrowland or something to fit all the things in that they're talking about. I think they said that this was going to be one of the biggest expansions I've done. Yeah. I thought they said that about cars. Cars is gonna be Cars is big, but it's it's on the footprint of like half of Rivers of America. Livens land is behind it. Yeah. But talking about cars. May maybe. I don't know. I need to go back and watch. ⁓ speaking of cars, piston peak, once again, no opening date for this. They'll have two rides. Miss Fritter's Daredevil Spin, I think is the name, which is like a it looks like it's a alien swirling saucer maiders jamboree type ride where you're just spinning around in circles. And then you have the ridge rally run, which will take you up and down the mountain range around Geysers. It went from a dueling ride to a single track. So but they have said it should ride in the rain as well, which is big news. Because it's trackless as well, right? Like it's it has a track. ⁓ okay. It's it's ⁓ I can't remember what type of track it is, but they showed it on the video. Is it gonna be like radiator springs themed? Type I love radiator. It's not radiator springs thing. This is the Well she just means like is it that type of like ride vehicle? It's a fun ride. You're off roading. But it's not two as It wouldn't be as fun as that. And it's not two, because there's two on the 'cause you Right. It's just supposed to be one. But I mean the looking at what they have as the ⁓ the diorama they had, the model, it looks A lot better than I was expecting. The water features on the one side near Tiana's is gonna be great. I'm I'm kind of excited for this now too. I'm like not gonna lie, I was skeptical on it and now I'm not so I mean they're doing their best, I think, to make it fit into like Frontierland right there. Yes, and it then does colors and stuff. Yeah. Yeah. It's like what would what would fit in between Liberty Square and Frontierland is a national national park. So you put that there and it kind of it fits. So I was always excited for it because just how well it is Carsland is in Disneyland. No, we should be neon. I know it's a national park. Yeah. I know, but still, like I just I enjoy I think I enjoy the Cars movie franchise because I had to watch it at Gazileon Times when Mason was growing up. And I just I just enjoy the movie, so I just that's why I never poo-pooed it. And I like the fact that it's closer to us, like when we go to we don't we go to Florida more than we go to Disneyland. Right, right. So having that attraction, whether it's in Magic Kingdom or Hollywood Studios or whatever, that's gonna be a fun attraction for a lot of people. It's going to bring the crowds. Yeah. I was just gonna say I think it's gonna be a draw. And it's also the merchandise. Like the merchandise for cars has always been this bread and butter. That's why we have three cars movies. We have all the cartoons of the tomato short. Tomato shorts. Even the plane. Like the planes spin on Yeah. Mason had like this little riding trake thing that was the planes back in the day. 'Cause that movie came out when he was like a baby. Last bit for Disney World is that we have Monstropolis. I'm also super stoked. I think it's like I think they're just going to my age group, maybe. Yeah. I I think so too. I'm excited for the coaster. I think that's a good theme and it's gonna be fun. So they do they have a sh they started this segment out with a song again, but this was Welcome to Monstropolis, ⁓ which is a song written by ⁓ Randy Newman. So he could come back to write a song for a theme park. He couldn't do the music for Toy Story Five. They had to go get some ditzy country former country person to do songs for it. A song. Huh? She only did one song. I said one. Terry's watching you now talking crap about her girl over there. But the the welcome to Monstropolis. Welcome to Must Monstropolis is the show that's going into Glob Theater, which is the old ⁓ Muppets 3D. I'm kind of excited to see what Muppet ⁓ hidden thing they put in that theater. We got the replacement of Archie's scare pig is coming to what was Brizzo's. And this is going to be the Hall of Fame for Scarers, and it's gonna be more Monsters U type themed stuff. So you can go through all that and see some of that. ⁓ Harry, how Harry Howden's is we knew it was coming. They kind of like it was in the concept art, but they officially made it a announcement. They're gonna put an AA octopus chef in there. What's an AA audio animatronic? Thank you. Yeah. I didn't know what it was either. Thanks, Mike. I know. I was like, why are we putting a battery in there? What's going on? Yeah, it's it's kinda like Rex and Ogas, yeah. But Something in there, so that's exciting. I probably never will eat here because I don't eat sushi. I do find it weird that the octopus is making raw fish though. The gift shop theme park sushi is interesting. ⁓ I was just gonna say theme park sushi. No thank you. Yeah. Like I'm I'm weary of the Yeah, I'm like we like weary of like the five dollar Wednesday sushis at the giant here. Like let alone Disney sushi? No thanks. In the Like like make like deconstructed pizza, you know, but like in sushi form. You know what I'm saying? Like maybe they'll make sushi like you're too creative for them. You're too creative. Or Terry, that's a universal thing. There you can go to cowfish at at universal and get the I love cowfish now. You can get that ⁓ cheeseburger sushi or sushi cheeseburger. They have both but I'm just thinking of when you got stuck at the table. Yeah, that would be Cowfish. He gets stuck at the table with Al and my mom and Siobon. And Jerry. When Jerry, yeah, he's like it's like his first trip and he's like it's the first trip the first night. Like I have I've barely talked to anybody and I am sitting with them. They knew he was gonna be trouble from day one, so they set him at that table. The gift shop that was the old Christmas store, that's gonna be the new gift shop for Monst ⁓ it's a scareporium, I think is what they're calling it. It's fun. So that's not a huge one, but I think that it's you know, it will do for now until the coasters open because they did announce out of all this stuff, they announced that the first half of Monsters will open next summer. And I think I called that in an earlier podcast thing this will be divided in opening because one part will be able to open first and the coaster's gonna take so long they're gonna want to make the money. Yep. I mean, and it makes sense that they're gonna do that because Rizzo's was already there. They just have to change the decorations on the inside. They're making the same pizza. They already had a s like a a sit down restaurant in there, so they can just change that over, change the theater over. So that is a lot faster than putting in a roller coaster and entire show building for a roller coaster. And I think it's like y that's their ⁓ MO now is with Star Wars, they ⁓ opened it in phases. Obviously they're gonna do the same thing with Tropical America, but even though they didn't announce it. Probably Piston B they'll do the same thing. I don't know about Pistons since it's all right there. Like one one ride is in between the other ride. Yeah. So I think that that's gonna open all together. But these big lands a lot of it has been let's split it up. Moving over to the seas. Disney cruise line. They've said that by the end of twenty thirty we will have 13 ships in the Disney Cruise Line fleet. That includes the two from the Japanese Oriental land company. We do know one will be in 2029. So that's pretty cool. So I would assume the next one would be 2030. And then we got the the first looks of Disney Believe, which ⁓ has a horrible, horrible font on the back. I think that's been the biggest controversy of the whole announcement thing. They've used the Toy Story font instead of their nice little whimsical font the they've used on all the other ships. And it's Buzz and Woody that are drawing it on, painting it on. Yeah, Tinkerbell is gonna be the stern character. I think Terry called that one when we were talking about that a couple of weeks ago. She did. Mawana, Pua, and Hey Hey, and one of y one of y'all said that one are gonna be in the Great Hall. So we didn't get color schemes or anything like that, but that's It's pretty exciting is of what they're focusing on. Like the font, yeah. Like I I do think the font should have been it, but I do love the fact that Toy Story's on the ship. Yes. I think that's a huge draw. I just love that franchise as well. But yeah, I do think it doesn't fit the rest of the ships. Yeah, when you when you have all their logos, and especially now that they're selling the shirts that have the names of the shirts and that font, do you if you get that believe it's gonna have that one one off look. And I get you have the clouds behind it. If you look at the concept art for Andy's Wall and it has that, but it's still it needs to be the Disney cruise line font, not the and especially the side of the ship too, because if they didn't show that, but I'm pretty sure it's gonna look like that on the side if it's gonna look like that on the back. May maybe. And do you think that if they're doing this since they're expanding the fleet? Where they're gonna have this one since Toy Stories on the back. Like this might be like they'll bring back like Pixar Days at Sea and it might only be on the Disney Believe since they they already have the Pixar's Days at Sea still, right? ⁓ okay. I was I know they kinda go back and forth with things, but like maybe they'll do it for like since Toy Stories like a focus on this one more, like they're on the back of the ship. That's where I don't think they're not because all the all the water s water areas are pretty much Toy Story theme when it comes to the kids' splash zones. Right. They're all Toy Story themed. And you have some Toy Story candy or ice cream shops or something like that on one of the ships, if I remember right. I'm not positive. So I mean it's Are you talking like the bigger kid area, not like the the little Nemo's Reef thing? It's ⁓ it's in cloth it might be Nemo's Reef on ⁓ the Dream and Fantasy and then it's Toy Story on the Wish class. You can tell I've not been on Disney cruise line. I mean too. They did announce they have a new ship coming out we that was the worst kept secret. New class of ship. And it's going to be bigger than the magic and wonder. And I want to say they said smaller than the wish button. In between size. In between size. So it's like which would be a dream and fantasy. Right. Yeah, because it goes like the wonder magic and then the dream and fantasy. And then like the wishes, the wishes, the treasure. So I would think it's gonna lean more closer to the magic side of stuff, magic and wonder size. It needs to be smaller. Yeah. I think they're I think this is positioning for the magic and wonder to eventually be retired. Because you know they're they're what tw they're over twenty five now. Yeah, they are. So that's I mean, they they still look great. They take good care of their ships, but at the same time they're old for Cruise ships. No, that makes sense. That they're gonna phase them out and put them, you know, have something to replace it. I also think that with that many ships, there probably need smaller ships to fill the inventory. Yeah. I think you put these these smaller ships like this that can go to Alaska and Vancouver where they're a little bit bigger, a little bit nicer. I'm not like once again, I'm not saying one. A little bit newer. Right. You that gives those people who go who want to go to Alaska another reason to go is like, ⁓ well these are newer ships. And the biggest thing that people are noticing on the concept they sent out was that there is a large window on the atrium ⁓ decks. So kinda like ⁓ what Royal Caribbean has it's been doing and I think Norwegian has some that have the big like three or four story windows and their great halls. I think that's that's a nice little thing to add actual daylight into the Norwegian is called the observation lounge and it's specifically for those like Alaska ones where it's just wall like walls of windows and lots of comfy chairs where you can sit in there and like when you're going through the glaciers or different things like that so that you're comfortable and it's climate controlled. They really Go ahead. I just hope that they do a promenade that connects the entire way around. I think that's they're saying that it's gonna happen. Yeah. I think the wish class not having that option has it's a big complaint. It's it was horrible because when we were on the Destiny, it was like we wanted to do that and we just couldn't. So I I think they've heard, you know, back to the we hear you. I think they've heard that and they said we're gonna try to do something. Now, if it comes out, would I be surprised if it doesn't happen? No, because it's Disney. They're trying to make as much ⁓ as little for the much as much money as they can make. So well that's that's like Disney cruise. They we didn't get any announcements for new places. We didn't it new itineraries, anything like that. So it's kind of like just hey, new ship, here's the teaser, and here's your three looks of the the b ⁓ the believe. They're doing a ⁓ a believe event on the wish in the beginning of October to do like a full announcement. Like reveal. Yeah, that reveal. Like the the restaurants, the bar. Yeah. So the theme of the burns. We have Blair and Courtney are s ⁓ representing magical travel and going to be there on for that. Not they're not gonna be on the wish so we're being in Walt Disney World for an event. That's cool though. Like still. Last bit of what we'll end on is Disneyland news. There's there's not a lot. We I kind of figured that we'd have more Disneyland news because with Disneyland forward really starting to ramp up now that we start Getting the blue sky stuff they've been teasing at Disney World for the past few years. Coco. Love Coco. We all saw that con construction being worked on from our rooms at ⁓ Pixar Place this summer. But that's being built right behind in Credit Coaster. ⁓ this takes place a year after the movie. The queue is going to base be based on the museum that's built for his great great granddad, Hector. And the ride is a retelling of Miguel's memory from the movie. So you're actually going to get to go back through the movie. It's a clas like the little mermaid type ride where you're going through the story itself and Love it. I love it too. Like the colors are great. Yeah. Also to mention they they s Coco two got announced during this and they also said Coco is going to be a a world in the new ma ⁓ Kingdom Hearts game. So Yeah. A lot of Coco love this this D twenty three. And I just really hope that it is a boat ride that then they can copy and paste and replace the three caballeros and Epcot so that everybody wants it, but I don't think it happens. I want it to so much. So much. I think I think it doesn't happen because it just makes too much sense and Disney's like, Hey and at the same time I'm very much on the same thoughts of some things need to be set kept in a different parks to give you a reason to go. Right. I agree with that. Yeah. Yeah. Because otherwise I would never go to land. Right. Yeah. I don't know. I guess it just made more sense. I don't know, put it in Mexico where the story's based and there's already You're putting it in Pixar Pixar Pier. Which is with all the other movies that were made by Pixar. Yeah. There's other things they could have done in Pixar Pier. Like an upright. Or you walk away, die. No. Where you're going through Paradise Falls and you're chasing Kevin, you totally could have a ride from Ember and Wade's in it. What was that one called? Where it's the fire and the water. Element that one was great. They could do something with that. Avengers campus. We got an this was the other one we got an opening date for. Sometime in twenty twenty eight. So in two years. Not really much to talk about, however. The biggest thing was like the voice actors or the characters themselves are actually coming back. So you're gonna have Chris Chris Hemsworth and Robert Downey Junior at back as Iron Man, not as Doom. And we don't have to deal with those like AI voices like at Universal in the Harry Potter land where they did the AI stuff. Like the actors are actually recording their parts and like will be like green screen like they were showing behind the scenes of them recording their lines and stuff for and it looks super cheesy. Super cheesy. It does so so good because it's super cheesy. I mean think Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind. Like I mean a lot that stuff. Terry Cruz is ridiculously cheesy in that too. I I I'm gonna like it. You know, they it's physical sets was the other thing. So we're we're riding through we'll be Rachel's not going to be able to ride the Stark ride. Like I'm gonna go ahead and tell you she's gonna get sick as a dog on that. With the cucka arm. Yeah. Dude, I almost threw up going off of mission breakout. Yeah. Like that was they forced me on that. And I was like, No one forced you. Yes, you did. No, no. You gave me a lightning lane and then I went. You said, I'll try. We I think some of these even looked and said, Rachel, if you don't want to do this, we're fine. And you said, Okay, I'm going. Peer pressure. You're gonna do it. Peer pressure. Everyone else is doing it. I'm gonna do it. But yeah, your mom went and sat down. Yeah. Well she g you know not the once you get an an ambulance ride from Epcot to, you know, Celebration Hospital, you're not gonna you're not, you're good. Yeah. ⁓ so the last bit of D twenty three news, unless y'all have any questions about anything that might that we might have seen or or heard. ⁓ this one was weird to me. It goes back to the imagin. ⁓ imagineering pavilion because they have a huge mock-up of the avatar experience. They've changed it from Avatar Land to Avatar Experience for DCA. Like I said, you have this experience sitting there. Here's what it looks like. And then Villains Land has two trees. So you expect that they're fixing to spend a lot of c a lot of talking on this Avatar and not so much on villains. They never mention Avatar during the whole thing. They say we have an avatar experience coming later. That's it. Like that was one of the first things mentioned that when they did the announcing. The last one of the last things on stage before the Figment and Dreamfinder was Tomorrowland and Disneyland is getting updated. And they did not mention, but it was in a press release, the Tomorrowland expans our update takes priority over the avatar expansion. Which is Kinda weird to me 'cause they're they're already starting work for the Avatar expansion. You know, Monsters Inc. closes next year because ⁓ this avatar expansion is supposed to happen. And then they're building the new parking deck so they can and the transportation transportation o over by element so that they can build the avatar experience. But Tomorrowland's gonna have priority. What are they gonna do in Tomorrowland? And they didn't really say, right? Just that it's getting updated. Yeah, they just they they no date. They didn't say what's happening. They used a picture of Space Mountain and says, Congratulations, we're updating Tomorrowland. And that's also like if you walk into Tomorrowland, you know, they have a nice big wall still sitting there that's been there for over ten years showing concept art of the new Tomorrowland they were gonna do. I just that was also an announcement that was out after I went to bed. Yes. Because it was like the last thing. Yeah. It was by the way. They don't even say anything. I think that was the my overall take from D twenty three this year. It was like just it was a lot of like disappointment and like there was nothing really new that was told that we didn't already kind of know about. Yeah, I was waiting for that one like so when we have Epic Universe happen like opening opened with two expansions on the way there, you have an Islands of Adventures expansion happening. You have Fast and Furious fixing to open with potential expansion of Universal Studios Florida. You have Fast and Furious Hollywood opening with they're doing work on a hotel out there. And you don't announce anything brand new that's like, hey, it's coming. This is what you have to look forward to. No, here's the things we talked about two years ago. We're giving you a little bit of an update, but honestly, nothing more than that. Did you expect anything different though? Like, why do you think I don't watch these? I extra I always want to expect that we get something something cool. Like here's what's on the horizon. Yeah. But and you know, we're we're We're working at making our parks better for you. I understand they have a lot going on right now. I know I've been s ⁓ very skeptical on what they have going on with Villains Land and stuff like that because they haven't brought stuff out to show us. But at the same time, saying we're still looking beyond what we have on right now. We have plans. Like a hotel. For me, Disneyland or sorry, Walt Disney World. If you an if you announced a hotel that wasn't tied to D V C Yeah a value, like we really need new value hotels. I would have been different options. Fine with that. Or monorail replacement. Something like that. Like anything that was small but exciting. Like Dreamfinder is exciting to me, but I don't care about Dreamfinder figments. I was surprised they didn't say anything. Well, I guess technically Autotopia in Disneyland is that in Tomorrowland? Yes. So I mean I guess that's part of the reimagining of tomorrow land because they're changing that over to electric vehicles. That's forced upon by California. So Right, but they didn't mention any of that. Like they didn't say that when we know that's gonna happen. Like a theme to that, they totally could have been like this is the total like this is kind of direction. I think it's just gonna they're gonna pull the cars off and put new cars on that are electric. I think that's all it's do you think that since these things like we discussed earlier have become more like influencer based that you want people to click and watch videos. That's become less about making announcements, quote unquote. And more about like like you said, there were performances, there were celebrities. You had all that stuff there that would make people click and watch videos where like the actual announcements are taking a back seat now because they're like people aren't tuning in anymore for announcements. A lot of people are tuning in just as because it's not a it's geared to more of a not a Disney centric audience anymore. They just want everyone to watch. So your lowest common denominator kind of targeting. I would the way I would go about that is that the the entertainment should have been that. Like the actual entertainment panel they did with movies and TV shows and all that this ⁓ Friday night. That is what those fans want. They want the celebrities. They want the first looks of the movies. That should be the like if you're gonna stream something and And do that, that's where that needs to be. Yeah. The the music, the soundtracks. Here's the first here. Like I remember like hearing toy like my year I went, ⁓ it was an ann anniversary for Toy Story, and Randy Newman came out and sang, You've got a friend of me with all the Toy Story characters out there. The rock showed up, Stan Lee showed up. I mean, we saw all this stuff. For the parks part of the panel, it was 100% parks announcement. This is what we're getting. Here's the new thing. Here's this. Here's this. I think that's what the what you want. That's why they sell out the Honda Center, is because the Disney World fans, the Disney Parks fans, want to know what's happening in the parks, not hear Cheryl Crow singing a song from 20 years ago. Yeah. I mean, honestly, I would rather the entire thing be an hour long with just announcements than all of the extra stuff that they did. Yeah, but what I'm saying is all the things they're just trying to get clicks and eyes on it. So they're not gearing it towards parks crowds or people that are interested in that. They're gearing it to But they're marketing. Yeah, they're marketing it as that, but they want the influ 'cause a lot of influencers that do that don't like dis they're not Disney centric influencers. They just have a large following. ⁓ It was weird. Yeah, I think they're just weird 'cause I saw I Justine posting from the Parks panel and I'm like, she's a tech person. Like why are you why is she posting from Disney's thing? No, no, she likes Disney. She goes with her family every now and then. But it's that's not what she's not a Disney influencer. Right. But up maybe in two years we'll get out there. We'll drag Rachel out there. It'll be like dragging Terry to H H N. What was the whole section where they brought out the Crunch Labs guy, Mark, whatever? That was about space. What was that about? That was the s that was Space Mountain. They Space Mountain two point ⁓ is coming back to Disneyland Paris. Yep, yep, yep. Jason didn't know who the Crunch Labs guy was, and I have to watch Crunch Labs with Kova all the time. So as soon as I knocked at him, See, I'm not the only one. It's ⁓ he's like a YouTuber, but everything's based on like science. So like he has like engineering. Yeah. They have like little like you can basically do a ⁓ you can pay for like little packs to come to your house every month to like get put together. Yeah. Very much like STEM. That's what they teach. That's why he came out for like the space part. But probably the best bit that was going through the entire night was what's is his name Jack? He was the the ⁓ page boy in Thirty Rock. And he's the voice of ⁓ Fix it Fix It Felix. Fix It Felix. He was hilarious. I was he was cut he was making himself laugh. I love him. He's so he's so dorky looking. Yes. I love him. Jackney Brayer. Yeah. So the whole system went down and he comes walking out in a fix fix it Felix ⁓ costume. And Neil's like, Are we gonna talk about Fix Fix It Felix and Wreck It Ralph? He's like, No, I'm just wearing this. Yeah. And he goes, Why are you wearing that? He goes That's what I decided to wear today. And goes, Where where you going? He goes, Well, I need to find wardrobe. So he walks off. And then the next time he comes out, he's dressed as wasn't he his president, one of the presidents one time. Wasn't he came out like No, that was Skyler, what's his name from Pitch Perfect came out as a president. He came out during The Disney Cruise Line announcement and he spoiled that it's yeah, he was Jack Sparrow and he spoiled that Moana was the atrium statue. And there he was Once again, they were like, Well, d I see you found wardrobe. And he was like, No, I just wanted to wear this. Yeah, he was the hilarious. Like and what I don't remember what he said, but he was literally laughing at himself and he had to like collect himself to keep going. Wasn't he the like the honeymooner in Forgetting Sierra Marshall? Yes. Okay. Yep. He he was funny. I also thought Neil Patrick Harris like did a good job. Yes. the entire time, like all his different little things and how they would transition between segments was him like as the animatronic from Carousella Progress, like him talking. And the band was the Phoenicians. So every time the band would play, they would thank the Phoenicians. Yeah. Thank you. It was I mean, Neil Patrick did a great job. You can tell that this is like very comfortable for him and do it. Yeah. Yeah. He's he's great. And you can tell how much he truly loves Disney as well and like the the parks because like I said before we were recording, this man was craning his neck around to look at the big screen to see what was going on the screen. I honestly don't know if he knew all the things that were happening too the way he was turning to look at the screen to see what was on it. Well we have ⁓ we pretty much lost Terry's video because it's so dark and So we'll we're gonna end the episode here. It was it was great. I like that's a lot of information. There's a lot more we could have gone over. We could have gone over the movies, the TV shows that they announced, a lot of that stuff that could eventually make its way into the parks. But the parks, that's our that's our love because we can that's where we get experience with stuff. This is where we get to help you plan your for a perfect vacation and see those memories of riding in cars for the first time or meeting your favorite villains, seeing their favorite crew ⁓ characters on a So what Disney does, what announced here, whether we want to keep up with it like r like me and Micah do or not, like Rachel wants to stay so clear of this stuff. But, you know, at the end of the day, she's excited for it because this is stuff that she's getting to pass on to other families, knowing that it's going like that one family that's been looking forward to seeing Encanto, she can finally go, Hey, you've been begging about seeing Mirabelle. Well, there's a whole ride coming. next in the next couple years where you can ride so we can start looking at that. So just be on the lookout.
