Jason: Welcome to Castles to Cauldrons, where every journey starts with a little bit to episode 54 of Castles to Cauldrons. I'm your host, Jason Davis. I'm here with Terry and Micah. Rachel had some personal issues that came up today, so she's unable to be with us. Have you ever watched Jimmy Kimmel? Yes, but not recently. You know the ongoing gag he has with like Matt Damon? I'm sorry we ran out of time. Matt Damon, you know, you'll be on next time. I'm starting to feel like this with Lauren, but vice versa. keep promising Lauren to come. Like I made a huge deal last episode. There's been a few episodes in the past where we said, Lauren's going to be here and she's going to talk about ABD. Lauren had some stuff happen where she couldn't make it on tonight. So she's once again, in my A. So. Fingers crossed for the future. Maybe she wanted to come. She's not putting us off. She really wants to come. It's just other things getting away. So we, It might just become the running joke of, know, Lauren will be on next week's episode and she'd we just have to say it like every single time, like maybe next time, Lauren. Maybe next time. The elusive Lauren. But that does bring up some good stuff because we wanted to talk about a lot of news and we had a lot of stuff happen and some stuff we couldn't have talked about. And one of those things I didn't put in our show notes. Universal announced Tuesday. that they were doing the mar- well they announced it last week, So two weeks ago when this comes out, that starting on March 10th, which has already passed by now because that's Mario Day, they were doing a whole lot of stuff in the parks for Super Mario Galaxy. And the biggest thing was Yoshi was coming to Epic Universe. I thought that was like really Yeah. I saw the people like meeting him and stuff at Epic. They have a lot of food coming out. There's a Rosetta, ⁓ Blueberry something cupcake. There's some galaxy popcorn, which is sparkly popcorn. I don't know. But the biggest thing was Yoshi was coming in and there was gonna be some, ⁓ some merch and everything. So I know we're going by the time you're listening to this, we're actually going to be in Magic Kingdom where we're doing our spring break trip and we're doing Universal for the most part with one day at Magic Kingdom. Travis probably want a bunch of Super Mario toys. Absolutely. Why not? It says it runs through the 13th of April. Yeah. it's not... You got plenty of time. Not you in general, but audience and channel. Unfortunately for us, I didn't buy Epic tickets in time. that we just all sold out. Yeah. Yeah. Which is fine. We're staying in Aventura for a couple of days. We're going to take advantage of pool hopping, take Travis over to Sapphire and let him in Sapphire. That pool's so great. It is. then we're just gonna... spend some time running around the other two parks. don't have to, the biggest complaint we always talk about is how long it takes to get epic from the other park, from the resorts and everything. So we're keeping it real close where we can get in and out. I think this just also shows how different all of our spring breaks are. Like Terry got back what Saturday from your trip. So this past Saturday, which was like April or not April, March, what? March 7th. March 7th. They got back. Jason's going next week. So like the week of, if I could actually- The 17th or the 15th through the 20th. Yeah, so like Monday is the 16th. That's when their spring break is. My spring break for COVA isn't until April 6th. Like we're six through 10th. So we're like over Easter. So we'll be on a cruise ship on Easter. So that's just like how like spread out spring breaks are. It also shows you though, because I'm openly admitting I'm being a bad personal travel agent to myself. Cause I couldn't buy my Epic universe tickets. Right. Yeah. But it shows you how much like we're focused on our, actual clients that we want to help and make sure they're getting that stuff ahead of time. I just put it to the back burner saying, ⁓ it's going to be no big deal. I'll be able to get my tickets soon. then. Then they sold out. thing for me with my return trip hotel from the cruise where we're staying that night in Miami. I have yet to book it and I'm running out of options and I really need to. So let's, ⁓ let's move over to some Disney news, which we have actually a lot of because today, except we're recording Thursday, the 12th, Disney dropped a whole lot of news and some deals. So the first one is everybody's favorite thing that I think Disney tried so hard to get rid of. And when COVID happened, they were able to get rid of it and then attendance never came back. So they're like, Hey, we have to bring it back to bring the people back. The free dining package. shocked. that they brought this out for non like Disney visa members. Like I booked someone with the visa last week whenever it came out that day. Was it last Thursday that came out? for them to drop that this soon for just like, that's crazy. I can't believe they did it. Yeah. So everybody that knows, if you had a Disney visa, you probably got an email saying, hey, you get free dining. And then today, the 12th, like I said, they dropped that you can get free dining across the board ⁓ at stays, at most stays, June 28th through October 3rd, October 19th through 31st and December 6th through 21st. So bookings already down for the last part of the year. We can see that since it's the end of June. Yep. Naturally you're missing November, which is all Thanksgiving. Right. Yeah. And you know, we'd have to go look at what dates are blacked out throughout that time. But Disney had already given free dining for kids for all year, no matter what. And then you can stack a discount. to say, you get free dining for the adults. That's even better. That's insane. That's a huge chunk. So the... Go ahead. I would say it's huge chunk of your budget because even if you're paying out of pocket now, have to have, you know, if you're not normally a free dining person, sign up for now anyway. You know, and... It saves you money. You can't stack it. So you can't put it with a... room discount or anything like that. So you're paying rack rate for the rooms, but free dining will still give you that discount. It is a four night, four day package with park hoppers for those stays. If you're staying at a value or moderate, you get the quick service dining plan. If you're staying at Deluxe or Deluxe Villa, you get the regular dining package. And it has to be booked by April 30th. Yes. Yeah. Still plenty of time to book that. Never a month. If you don't want dining, if you don't think you'll take advantage of the dining, then you can do the save up to 30 % rooms, which is July 30th through October 3rd. Actually those, the save up to 30%, 30 % is going to be like the deluxe villas. And it goes down per category after that. That's a good way you can get in and you can see the very beginning of the Halloween stuff. You're having good The Halloween party itself. I was going to say, it's still going to be hot, but they started in August now. you're starting like. window is huge. You can book until the last day of the offer, which is October 3rd. Yeah. Wow. Yeah. Like you literally can book until October 3rd and the offer is available for travel July 30th through October 3rd. So we actually, I was looking at the free dining because Kova has a break in October. The fifth is that Monday. So we could like check in. two days earlier on the Saturday and potentially look at getting like free dining. I don't know if I can convince Robert to go to Disney in October, but it was a thought. That's the big thing to remember too is that these offers is based off check-in days. So you get the offer if you check in on the last day. Yes. No matter what. So it'd be the length of your stay. But if you check in on the fifth, you don't get the offer. So like December 5th, you won't get that free dining. But December 6th, you will. Also December 1st, like if you book that one, you can have free dining over Christmas. Just throwing that out there. That's insane. That's a pretty good deal. Yeah. And then the Florida residence is the same dates. You get 35 % up to 35 % off rooms and they're brought back the tickets that we've talked about in the past where it's a four day four park. So that's one day, one park, four days, including Magic Kingdom. That's valid for the summer. So May 26th through October 3rd. That's a pretty good deal itself. mean, $109 per day. Not bad. No. And I think, you know, you can't use that with the other one, but if you're planning on going and you don't want dining and you want to get the discounted room, you can buy those tickets with it. Right. You can get that together. I'm pretty sure. The four day, four magic with the discounted room. I don't know. Cause you should be able to those tickets separately. The only thing I know for sure is like, If you bought the 35 % off or the 30 % up to 30 % room, you get that and you want a dining on top of it, you could do the kids free dining. But I don't know if the ticket offer is part of that. I'd have to look into it a little bit. You'd have to probably book it separately. Like book just the room, right? Because the other one's just a room rate. The 30 % off? Yeah, that's just on a room. room rate. But you could book a package and that would still be attached to it. Yeah. I like the four day four park magic ticket, especially if you have like people, know, like you're going to go and just spend time at each park. It's a great deal. Like if that's what you're already planning on doing and you didn't want to get a hopper ticket, it's a good price. That's a good ticket for the summer because you take those summer breaks, right? If you're staying on property, you can go in in the morning until about lunch, come back into the hotel, take a nap, take a swim, cool off or whatever, and then go back. or the evening entertainment. can't go from Epcot to Magic Kingdom in the same day. Like you can't say, I'm going to use all four tickets in two days or something like that. You have to use each ticket different days. you can go in and out that one park as much as you like throughout the day. So while we're on the discount stuff, Walt Disney Room offer for recent decent DCL guests, so Disney Cruise Line, it's up to 35 % when you book within 14 days of leaving the ship. There's a bunch of stipulations that we won't go fully into, but there's a lot of dates that that's eligible for. So just hold on for a minute. You can rewind this if you think you hear a date that you're going. So it's March 3rd through May 21st of 2026, March 25th to July 1st of 2026, July 6th to September 2nd, 2026, September 7th through 29th of 2026, October 26th through November 25th of the 2026 and then November 29th to December 24, 2026. So that's a pretty good little offer that if you want to, what they're wanting is people to come back to Disney no matter what. You just did a cruise, come back to Disney World. I had some clients, friends that very big in the cruise right now. They can just come back from Walt Disney World and they're like, I forgot how much we love Walt Disney World. ⁓ they want to book a trip in the fall for Walt Disney World. So that's that thing. If you got. into Disney Cruise Line just to see if Disney was your thing. And you haven't been to the parks yet. This is a good way to go to the parks afterwards. don't they have like a reverse offer? if you're staying, if you are staying at Walt Disney World. Wait, which one did you just do? This one's the one where it's, you just got off the cruise line. And don't they have one too where it's like a discount if you're at Disney World like to get a discount? I honestly don't know. I haven't thought it was, they had it like They had it both ways. Like if you just got off the cruise for a discount versus like Disney World for a discount. I want to say, and I'm going to look now while I was at Disney World, I felt like I got an email every day about a new discount if I book now. and I want to say one of those did include like you could get 35 % off a cruise as a quote unquote bounce back, but not really cause you're going to go. Because I went to the Disney World, they were sending me that to encourage me to go on a cruise. think Disney just really wants people to book and have that stuff on the books form, which is what they've always want. They've always had the bounce back offers like pre-COVID. It took them a while to get them back after COVID, but once they did, that's what people want. But those are the offers we've got. That's some really good stuff. You can contact any of us over at magicaltravel.com to help you out plan either your Disney cruise or your Disney free dining. Walt Disney World stuff. I'm excited for it. just wish my stuff lined up where I could utilize a little bit better. Now we've got a lot of openings and opening dates that we've were announced today. One wasn't necessarily announced. I only saw it on social media. Yeah, I was going to it kind of snuck in there. We talked about Sprinkles closing a few episodes ago. There's a restaurant in downtown Disney and Disneyland called Black Tap and it's like a burger place and they do the crazy shakes. I love it. It's a great little restaurant. I love their milkshakes. Those are actually coming to the old sprinkle location. It's just going to be called crazy shakes. So you can't have like your hamburger and shake, but I think it's a good fit. was kind of wondering when Disney would do something like this. Is it like the milkshakes like where they're like the in the mason jar and they're like rolled with the stuff and have like a whole piece of cheesecake on top or something don't think they're in the mason jar so much. But they're in like tall glasses. Yeah. They are like, here's a huge brownie or, like you said, a key lime pie. So, know, the Chocolate Emporium has been doing this for years over in Universal. And I think Disney's tried it in a few places. We got it. I got one at Toothstump when we were there last spring break. Yeah. I just don't, I didn't know why it took Disney so long to finally get on this bad reg. And I kind of think that it's on the way out. I feel like this is on the way out. it's the overdone milkshakes is four or five years old now. Yeah. We were doing it down at the beach before Travis was born. Yeah. There's this place called the yard we go to every now and then. And it was- went at Myrtle Beach called Crazy Mason. So why now? But maybe it's a way for Black Tap to get into Disney, Disney Springs and just say, we want to see what people like. If they like this thing here, maybe the concept will open up and they'll do a- a burger joint somewhere down there too. I'm excited to try it though. I'll walk by it. It wasn't open, there's posters around the windows and everything. Well, hopefully it's open next week. We're going Saturday night for dinner at Olivia's. So we're to go to Disney Springs, walk around and then hop on the boat, go to Olivia's and go back to Disney Springs. I've heard such good things about Olivia's too. ⁓ Yeah. Me and Jerry ate there a couple years ago. I was at HHN and Jerry, Nicole, and Amber were all at Walt Disney World. We met up at French Quarter, but me and Jerry went and had a Olivia's for dinner before we met up with them. Really good, really good food. I'm not saying something for me. Mr. Picky. Well, it's their fried chicken. Yeah, fantastic thing. Just like we, I ate at Homecoming in Disney Springs and their chicken and waffles is so good. Anything at Homecoming is good. Everything I've eaten there has been good. So let's go through all this opening stuff, which I think is a lot considering just all... It's all closed right now. I woke up, I was at work and I opened up Twitter and I saw Scott Gustin had posted all this, hey, guess what's opening? First thing we got was Buzz Lightyear, Space Ranger Spins reopening April 8th. They said that they're trying to keep it as close to the original as possible, just bringing in a little bit more of the element so you can pull the gun out like we've said, different targets, but you can still get the Galactica and everything like that. Some of the secret scores. where you can shoot and get whatnot. hate I'm missing it by like what two weeks. missed it a lot. It's just the empty corner over there now. Well see that was a strange thing was you have Stitch right there that was that's been closed for years at this point. Buzz Lightyear's closed while it's being refurbished it's still closed. So you're walking down an alley where there's one attraction and then There's nothing. it's like There's tons of stroller parking at that point. 100%. That's all it is. Tomorrowland is stroller parking if you come in from the hub. Why... Just a tangent. Have we not put something in Stitch in 10 years? It's been closed? The rumor for a while was something about a Wreck-It Ralph Sugar Rush style attraction going there. That's cool, but... I think it's just because of the layout of what that is. It's two auditoriums that are in a hole. Yeah. So you have to pretty either fill them all in to make them one thing or build a contraction show that utilizes them the same way. Yeah, because you can't do something exactly like Laugh Floor, which is right across the way. You have to do something different. Yeah. I just feel like it's something's better than nothing, like you say, especially if they were planning the buzz. refurbishment, that didn't just pop up and happen. know? Air conditioning. Even if you go in for a short show, it is air conditioning. You can't tell me they have the Enchanted Tiki Room for what it is. It's been there for freaking ever and they can't put something that, like you said, it's just somewhere to sit for 15 minutes in air conditioning and the other, in the Stitch World. They could figure out a show to put in there that would fit into Tomorrowland. There's no way that they couldn't. If it was like... Buzz Lightyear themed or if they did a Tron, since Tron's been a big thing lately. Like they could figure something out to do some sort of show. Full on think Tomorrowland just needs a, like, and maybe this is the start of it, like overhaul it. Every so slowly, the sign they say, I haven't seen any pictures or anything. saw a tweet saying that it now looks like the other signs. So it's that two spire type thing with a novel. I just wish Tomorrowland had its own identity. and a good solid theme throughout. Cause it just feels like it's wasting away. What's like all that futuristic space stuff is like Epcot's thing. it's, I mean, know Tomorrowland's also kind of the same because it's Tomorrowland, but it feels like all that stuff either belongs in Epcot or it feels like they would, they put more effort into building up Epcot for what it is. And they just need to get rid of Tomorrowland Speedway because it doesn't fit the theme of Tomorrowland. mean, it's just, if you're about all the things that are there with Space Mountain, Tron, Space Ranger spin. you can make it future proof, right? You could do an electric, make it Tron where when you're driving down the, somehow there's interaction with the rail, the Megaset looks like you're driving by and the light is coming out the back. I mean, it doesn't look tomorrow like... as part of Tomorrowland, looks like a racetrack. Make it look like Tomorrowland if you're call it Tomorrowland Speedway. Or make them like rocket ships or I don't know, that's, you know, space Mickey. Wasn't one of the things also that they were going to make that like turn it into like Vanellope's candy crush thing, like where she was racing as well. Like that was another rumor that went around transforming or like re- imagining Tomorrowland Speedway into that. That doesn't match Tomorrowland either, but at least it's something. Well, Disney has a bunch of sci-fi and great IPs they can pull from. Monsters needs to poop Meet the Robinsons. mean, there's like, that's not in the parks at all. The movie Tomorrowland, no matter if it's good or not, you have a full movie. Yeah. I actually enjoyed the movie. I liked it. We've seen it multiple times. Yeah. It's not the strongest, but it's good. Yeah. the, if you're going to keep carousel of progress, like you keep talking about, overhaul it. Yes, you've announced it. The permits, I don't think have ever, have been filed yet. mean, it just got filed to get the work started on putting Walt in there. But just go ahead and overhaul Tomorrowland so it fits the rest of the park. Like people will stay there. You have people staying in Vanishing Land for hours to ride their car. And it's like, no, Jungle Cruise is so easy and simple and nothing crazy about it. And it has a wait, 45 minutes plus, it never dropped the entire time we were there. Cause the kids wanted to ride it, but didn't want to wait that long. 45 minutes was the smallest wait we've, and it's Jungle Cruise. It's the same script it's been for years, the same cheesy little animatronics. mean, they could put something like the Incredibles in Tomorrowland. Cause you know, you have Monsters Inc and their Pixar and then superheroes are futuristic because don't they like Well, that's Marvel was in Disneyland's tomorrow line when it first when they first came out Yeah I mean they could do something Incredibles related with Frozone and all that on tomorrow land track and make it like a don't know you call the rivalry like getting a pod and ride around, know or something but it's not waste of space here with big hero 6 I don't know. Yeah Marvel, but I think it doesn't it's not included in the contract with universals I didn't realize that was Marvel. Marvel. didn't either. What? Baymax was part of Marvel? How did I'm just now learning that? It's... Somebody look at the movie. We're missing the what's his name? Wally! Yeah. They could do something with Wally over there. That's futuristic. They do a show with Wally in that. Yes! Like easily have like a person just go, Wally, you know, just going around and he goes around. I don't know. They could do something with it. Interactive like Monsters Inc. laughs. You know, you know, there's someone behind there looking at the camera doing the voice. Like it's not a... talk with crush. Yeah, they do that with Wally in the Stitch building and make it entertaining and funny. And like you said, 15 minutes in the air conditioning. But they could also use it as an educational thing where all of Wally's thing is about like keeping the planet clean and recycling. Like they could have an entire thing with it. You talk about Epcot and that's Epcot's know. That is what... They have a whole The Amazing Planet cartoon, or not cartoon, but the movie. That's what that's all about. And even before that, the Tamamoan and Pumbaa ⁓ animated short, I think it was, was about saving the planet. But we all know they don't care about keeping things because Pixar should only be in Hollywood studios in my opinion, but it's in multiple places. I was gonna say, this is how we bond all the parks together. Yeah. With a little bit of each park. See, that's a thing though. Like Disney was very much a, you can't have Star Wars, let's say in every park. It only deserves in one spot. Mickey can be wherever, but like you won't have Star Wars and Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Hollywood Studios. It's only in Hollywood Studios. What if they had like little BB-8 and R2D2 like racers where Tomorrowland Speedland, you know, you're getting your little robot racer thing and it pods your, you know what saying? If we get out of the purity of they have to stay, but what I'm saying is the fun things that's not a fuel smelling heat source that's loud. No, robot racers, said, they would get in pods, not the pod racers from Star Wars. Or you could, get X-Wings and TIE fighters and pods out there and let them battle. I don't know, something. I just don't know Star Wars that well. Yeah. You can just me Rachel on this one because I don't know. Well, obviously, Terry doesn't know either because she's saying getting pods, pod racers, and they're not as loud as cars. I said pods, is it? I meant like the Ratatouille, like that thing you get in a pod. So speaking of Hollywood Studios and Pixar Animation, we've got opening date for the Walt Disney Studio Courtyard, which is at Hollywood Studios. And a bunch of other stuff will be opening May 26th. That also goes into the new Mickey Mouse Clubhouse show. They didn't really go into detail about what this show was, who was going to be in it, kind of like they want to save those. But the opening date, Memorial Day weekend. I think that timeframe really quick turnaround. I'm excited to see it. I've mentioned before on the podcast, I've been to the studios a couple of times. So real fun to be able to stand next to the, uh, the sign that I've stood at in California and see how close they make it look. Travis is probably going to look forward to the clubhouse. this going in place of the Disney junior dance party? Yeah, it's the big Disney junior live thing. need like, they were not going to get rid of that. It's too big of a popular thing. But they've updated it with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Yeah, so it was Mickey Mouse Clubhouse years ago too. Yeah, I remember seeing that. they're bringing a new one in, like Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Plus or something like that. So they're going to tie it in. Goofy Core at Communicore Hall, did y'all look at these, the pictures from those things? I did not. Well, I didn't see it. I got off work, rushed home. Got Kova ready to go to Cud Scouts that we had to be there an hour earlier than normal because it's Pinewood Derby night. So... love Pinewood Derby. We have a trophy from there. No, I was rushing to get places. no, I did not. It looks like... Now, Cool Kid's summer last year happened in Hollywood Studios in the animation courtyard. So they can't do it now because of the construction. They can't bring all that stuff in they want to do. They want to make it look nice for this first summer. They're doing it in Communicore Hall. It's called Goofy Corn. looks like it's P.E. Like, of the images was like the big parachute that you used to get in P.E. day. It looks like you're doing something with that. I'm like, um, okay. So if that's what that is, I don't know, but we go in July. So we'll probably see what it's all about. Check it out. I'm there the weekend after that this opens. Like for one day. So I won't have a lot of time, but. Yeah, cause you're going to Banana Game. I still don't think they're utilizing Communicar Hall to as full as what it could be, what they could use it for. And they over promise under delivered in it because they do do a great job during Festival of the Arts with the Broadway stuff. said doo doo. Sorry, I'm a child. No, it's fine. Cause I said the same thing in my head. I was like, I said, do do. But I think that, you know, like they need to start elevating what they put in there and really make it a festival center versus just so we're going to put parachutes in here for Goofy to play with everybody. Yeah. Over Magic Kingdom, Jessie's Roundup at the Diamond Horseshoe. has a really elaborate name I didn't put down, but this is going to be a dance party with Jessie. I think, uh, some of those guys are going to out there and play this probably tying into Toy Story 5 that comes out in June. It's like come out June already? Yeah. That trailer by the way, heartbreaking. It's not Woody having some hair loss. It's like, ⁓ my God. It is really, yeah. It's, I think it's gonna hit all of us millennials like right in the heart. This needs to be the end of Toy Story. As I say, they can't stop it. Story 3 needed to. I literally cried in the movie theater at Toy Story 3 because I really thought some of those characters weren't going to make it. Don't know why it's a kids movie. I'm not sure why I thought characters weren't going to make it. It's a trash compactor. Now, if you have another shift in generational toys and how everything's happening right now, bring Toy Story back because the way this movie looks like it's going with tech versus toys. It's really relevant. think kids can see it and understand it. Obviously we'll see it and really understand it because we were the generation playing with toys and now our kids are the ones that are wanting to play with more. we were coming up with tech. Like we were growing up as tech grew up at the same time. Yeah. Yeah. I think, I think I saw my son who's in fifth grade. The first Toy Story came out in 1995 and that's when I was in fifth grade as his mother. And I was like, As much as I love it, because one of his things we were talking about while we waiting in line and everything was like, Heather's just nothing new. Like, you know, he made the comment that Disney didn't have any new ideas. And I forgot what we were talking about, like, he didn't just come out of the blue with that. And, you know, and I was like, I know. And he said, Toy Story 5. I was like, I know. The first one came out when I was your age. Literally when I was your age, the first one came out and here we are still pumping the same well. Now, know, which is great sometimes, but like our kids need something to grow up with. That's original and for them. Pixar came out with Hoppers and we saw that this weekend. we're probably going this weekend. can't wait to see that. It is amazing. When you talk about original movies, is phenomenal. It's fun. It's funny. It's heartbreaking because of some great storytelling. You connect with the characters. It's classic. It's what we grew up. With Pixar, with Toy Story, Finding Nemo, Wall-E, The Incredibles, all those things, all those movies we grew up watching and having emotional connection to, that's what Hoppers is. ⁓ good. If we have a three hour window this weekend that we're not doing something, we're going to see it. Just go ahead and book the tickets. Just go as we're doing this now. I have to see it because Robert might have to work. But do you want to know what other movie recently, well, it's probably been the last couple of years that came out that gave me similar feelings to that, Wild Robot. I don't know if you guys watch that movie. I got my kids love Wild Rubbette. It is like... the Wild Rubbette movies. I mean books. It's one of those, like you watch it and Koba and I saw it for the first time. We were at the Discovery Place and like Science Center thing up in Uptown Charlotte and they had it in the IMAX theater and we sat in there and watched it. Like Koba was just enthralled with it. Literally, it made me cry while I'm sitting there. It is such a good movie. It's one of those that I'm like, why can't we have more kids movies like this? Yes, my kids loved it. they, they both read the books in school and then they came out and they're like, we have to go see that. And I was like, okay, I'd never heard of it before. Well, I hope Toy Story 5 is as good as the trailer looks. They did Greenlight a second, Wild Robot. Good. Don't know when, like I was listening to a podcast and they... didn't give a date, they say this much sooner than you'd anticipate. Not like K-Pop Demon Hunters, it's going to be 2031. Yeah, apparently the animation for that is like crazy. This is not a movie podcast. Personally love movies, I could go on, but like there's a lot of drama between the K-Pop Demon Hunters and a lot of it has to do with the contract that Sony signed with Netflix. We could do segments on movies. Yeah, we could. But speaking of movies, Louie, who has a movie coming out in 2027, she makes an appearance at conservation station on the 26th. Quick turnaround for them to be changing stuff out there to make it like Australia themed. I feel like they've done a pretty fast like change decorations, move animals in that are Australian animals. I don't know the like how difficult it is to it, but I have a feeling Disney had already gotten whatever animals they wanted. So they acclimated them to the Florida weather. then now- take much because some of those animals are going to be like bearded dragons that you can go buy at PetSmart, a parakeet, because they're everywhere in Australia. have them as pets. about wallaby? Kangaroo. They would acclimate easily. could change- a kangaroo. They could change the um, Creature, not creature comforts, that's Starbucks, the petting zoo area and they could put like kangaroos or wallabies out there. Like you probably couldn't go in to pet them, that's easy area. Koalas are easy because they stay on sticks. The koala. Terry does really want to pet a koala. back to Disney, the last thing of reopening we have is Big Thunder. They have actually, they extended out their con whatever it is, their licenses and whatnot. for construction. It was supposed to open sometime this week. It moved out to May. So that's early May. So we'll be able to get on that coaster here soon. I'm ready to see. I wonder how much smoother it's going to be. It should be really smooth, at least for the first year. Because when they redid the whole kit universal, it was night and day. ⁓ But now it's back to what it was because of how fast you're going and all the speed, the tight turns. Yeah. And I last time went on Big Thunder and ⁓ All California was kind of bumpy already and they just replaced the track not too long ago. But I'm looking forward to it. think anything, going back to the Tomorrowland debate that we had earlier, I really think Disney is focusing all their resources in Walt Disney World on that side of the park, Magic Kingdom. Big Thunder, the supposed Villains Land, which by the way, they did bring out new ⁓ paperwork showing that the buildings have gotten bigger. Okay. to spend more money on this thing. The cars land, then there's an expansion plot. You don't spend all that money and then you're neglecting tomorrow. Another part of the park that you could just up late instead of having to build a whole new thing. Yeah. Cause you're straight up sending everybody to one side of the park. Once Villains Land and Cars Land is open, one full side of the park. Maybe that's their plan so that then they can start to redo stuff over there. So they're diverting most of the people. to that side, you know, you're going to be frontier land, cars, villains, fantasy land, adventure land, all that's over there. I mean, really all you have on the other side is Tomorrowland. Like it's just of over there on its own. It's, ⁓ it's going to be fun to see the, so listening to another podcast, way they explained it was like the next few years. So in Canto should open next year. Monsters in 28, along with cars, I think. There's not cars in 29, villains is 30, 31. So you got a lot of stuff just bam, bam, bam. And that's just this first part that they've announced. There's supposedly going to be more announcements in the coming months when it comes to D23. they could just speed Villains Land up to open in 29, so I could go for my 40th birthday, that would be great. I think it's going to be like 100%. I changed my drum to it will happen now. It's just a matter of when. It's a matter of when and how and because I do think that when with this more recent news coming out of go big like go bigger, we'll spend more money. They want this to happen. They want it to be good. And that's why we don't have any type of concept art is because they didn't know what they wanted to do. And now they're like, maybe they had, they want to do one thing and Iger and was just like, no, we're not spending that much on that. And now that tomorrow knows what the customer or consumers want, he's allowing them to do it. And maybe tomorrow, since he's been in Epic and says, this is what Universal's doing, we need to do better. wonder though, cause you know, and tomorrow's in the parks a lot. you know that, I mean, that's his thing. He's there, but I wonder how many like people like us that are in the parks that go up to him and like, Hey, just wanted to meet you. like Winsville and land opening, like, I wonder if he's gotten a lot of questions about stuff too, because if I saw him in the park, I'd ask a question. My question would have been. Hey, have you seen what, how fast and what they're doing down the street? Because it takes, and I think to that point, they are changing their drum because Rock and Roller Coaster, they shut down half the queue before the ride was even shut and closed so they can start getting that re going because they don't want, they want it reopened pretty fast. And Kanto, they closed down half of Dino Land so they can go ahead and get that going. So I think they're trying to go faster while still keeping the Disney side of We wanted to make it look good. need to incorporate a ride since it's Villains Land, it's going to have, I'm assuming a castle or something of some sort. They need to incorporate a ride that's like Harry Potter or Ministry of Magic or ⁓ Monsters Unchained. Like all those that are like indoor thrill ride. Cause that's one thing Disney, and I know they're kind going to do it Monsters Inc. Land with like the doors ride. But once you go on those and. Like you said, if they're taking any notes from Universal, it's the fact that they need more of interactive. mean, cause when you really do feel like you're floating through the entire castle on the Harry Potter ride and on Green Gods, like you feel like you're plunging and I mean, you need that fully immersive type ride. think that's- And also indoor so that if it's raining and stuff, it's not indoors, weather compatible. And I bet they don't have that. And I think, like you said, I think they're looking for a good, if you're going to do a go big or go home, you've talked about this land forever. You know, you, you've got to stand on business now, then you need to do something that people are going to be like, ⁓ word, that's actually a decent good ride. You know, not because I mean, that's the big thing about Epic. Like you said, it was built fast and it didn't disappoint. here's what I think would be my big go hit, go big, go home type of attraction. with what we don't have in the United States. It would be a dark ride, it would be a boat ride, but to be using the technology from Shanghai's pirate ship, because that a, like that boat moves and it turns and it does all these sorts of stuff. You put that in there, you're going have lines. If you'd make it a good ride where the boat does stuff, you'd yourself an e-ticket attraction with a dark ride. Can you imagine having something like that? as like a moat-ish type around. Like if they're gonna sit on like the mysterious lumbering castle on the hill that's like bumma bum, the thunder and lightning that you always see in the distance and do that around it and then do another ride like inside the castle, like ⁓ inside Haunted Mansion, but better. And then like maybe have a little kiddie ride somewhere on the side where you can take your, if your kids wanna go. and see the villains, but they can't do the bigger, more thrillish rides. I mean, that's three rides that you can have in one land right there. And I think people would be excited about that. think three rides is what everybody's talking about. One kiddie ride, the coaster, and then this dark ride. I'm just saying the dark ride needs to be something on the caliber of what Shanghai Pirates looks like. Isn't the rumor that the roller coaster is going to be Emperor's New Groove, like pull the lever cronk? Yeah, that's the new one is that, ⁓ Emperor's New Groove will be that, that coaster because it's so popular. And I'm like, well, that makes sense. Well, I mean, the amount of like, Disney has pushed out a lot more Emperor's New Groove merch too. Maybe they're testing the waters on if people are really like into that still. Like, which again, sleeper movie people, like there's just not enough. That's what I'm saying. I don't know if enough interest to do a whole. I work with someone who's just a couple of years older than me that has never seen it. And I like what you mean. You've never seen it? It is hilarious. It's one of those like, you had hope that Disney was actually going to come back from the, they, because they was some not great movies in between that and then the Renaissance. That one was so good. Yeah, it was a random good movie. apparently like it was supposed to be a completely different movie and very quickly they changed it to Emperor's New Groove. Yeah, it was supposed to be some type of musical like every, and it's not. And it's great. love it. is so good. And I do hope that the roller coaster is that or they could even do like the little kid ride. Like if it's like one of those like slow drop things like the kids go up and it's like pull the lever crunk and then they like drop down like also be cute. Well, that's all the news we've got. We'll be back for a minute with Terry because she just got from Walt Disney World Universal and we're going to go over that. Are you dreaming of your next adventure but overwhelmed by planning? Mention our podcast to be connected with one of our agents you're listening to if you like what you hear. we're back. We're back. We're back. Terry. Just got back from her Walt Disney World vacation and Universal, like we alluded to a lot in the news segment. So we're going to kind of let her have a trip recap of everything. First and foremost, did you have a good time? had a great time. Always have a great time. This one was not our best, but it was just weather was off, you know, things like that. A lot of stuff was closed. Nothing to do with like Disney service or anything like that that made it bad. Just... a lot of inconveniences that can be avoided. I want to, I want to start with a bad note. Go ahead and plug for next week. Next week's episode, we're going to have Taylor on. She went to Disneyland and did the run Disney out Disneyland. So we're going to talk about run Disney next episode. But Terry was at Walt Disney World during the princess half marathon. And we got some text messages on her magic kingdom day, on her day where she's going to magic kingdom from the bus. So Terry, can you explain a little bit? Cause I know firsthand what run Disney race is like as a runner and as a spectator. Cause I used to do it, but I never was going to the parks to enjoy myself. So I didn't care about what you were talking about because I was involved with run Disney at the time. on the other side of it. So it's okay. My vacation was run Disney focus while yours wasn't at that this time. So what was your dilemma? What, and what do you think would fix the dilemma? First of all, I should have looked up the map for the Run Disney before I did this, so I would have a better idea. But we stayed at POP. ⁓ And I had heard that Run Disney causes a little, you know, of course traffic, things like that, that happen. But what I experienced, I cannot believe that Disney has been doing Run Disney as long as it has. And it still causes this much disruption in their entire... I mean, it's like throwing a wrench in the cogs of the wheels of every, I mean, it like, we waited at pop. And I mean, the good thing about staying, if you are wondering about saying value resorts, because there are a lot of people there, their bus schedules run a little faster and more buses sometimes than other resorts. So we never had to wait more than between, I would say like eight and 15 minutes for a bus. And that's like, if you just got to the bus stop when the bus was pulling away, was like minutes. We waited 30 minutes to an hour for a bus. In that time though, no less than like 15 buses came by to pick up run Disney runners. And we were like, well, where are all our buses? I don't know where those buses were coming from, but we heard later on from people who rode in regular traffic that our buses were caught in run Disney traffic. So they were out there. They were all just stacked up and couldn't get to the resorts. to pick up the people who had paid to be in Magic Kingdom for the day. And one of the benefits of staying at a resort that they tout is that you get early magic hours. But we got there 45 minutes after the park opened to, as I call it, the gym pop. So we didn't get our benefit of, you know, choosing to stay at a resort so we get there earlier, so we can get our rides earlier, so we didn't waste time getting Lightning Lanes. We didn't get that because we spent... 45 minutes sitting in traffic behind, I mean, as far as I could see ahead of us and behind us, there were buses. So if you looked at wait times at like 8 a.m. on that morning, I think it was Sunday morning, like Space Mountain had like five minute wait, Cron had like a five minute wait, Mine Train had like a five minute wait, which means no one was in line because there was no one in the park. mean, so, and that's just my whole thing with that is you've got a legit. billion dollar company, one of the top five in the world, I would say maybe. And they can't, and they've been doing run Disney, like Jason said, this is not the first rodeo. Why are we operating on a route that's going to shut down part of our operation? I think the marathon weekend is the longest running one and it's, I think it turns 30 next year. Yeah. Well, my thing is there was no warning sign, anything leading up that said, Hey, Run Disney traffic tends to stall up. If you want to make it to Magic Kingdom for early hours, you know, we have a bus running at 7 a.m. to ensure you get there. You know, I don't know what time no signs that's like, expect longer like bus wait times or travel times to get there. believe me, I was not the only one. I mean, I was frustrated, but because we do this, I understood. I mean, I know through my text messages, I was hurt, you know, but in my head, I was like, it is what it is. I just couldn't say things I want to say out loud. But there were like irate people on the bus who maybe this was like their first trip to Disney. they're like, I didn't pay to sit in traffic. They promised me that if I stayed at the resort, I could get in early. It's not my fault. Like I was at the bus stop at 8 a.m. or whatever. And so the poor planning is what got me. This is your runners, this is your route, these are your buses to your parks from your resorts. And you can't work it out in a way that doesn't gum up the system. So let me, let me clear some, couple of things up with the buses, just so people know that are listening that have never done run Disney, Disney charters buses for the runners. So the whole run weekend, there are charter buses exclusive or the run Disney events. Yeah. They're not Disney buses that they put runners on. They're completely separate. When you're getting on the bus to Hollywood studios, magic kingdom, anything like that. It's the regular Disney rap buses you get on. You're doing the run Disney stuff. is a chartered bus. So it's like Southern Elegance or Mears or whatever. Those buses run to and from Epcot. That's all they do or ESPN depending on what time of day. Because a race is starting to end in an Epcot in the parking lot. So that's going to be your worst part. The race itself starts, like I said, starts in Epcot, does some of the world showcase and it's world drive. So you have, that's why the main artery. going to Magic Kingdom is usually completely packed because all these run, you're not talking about 500 runners, you're talking like 10 to 15,000 people running down. The buses were full. Every time they pulled out, they were full. These roads are closed for hours. They start the race, I think they start at 4 a.m. and they're done by 11 or 12 o'clock in the afternoon. So 11 o'clock in the morning, 12 noon. So it's not anything short. Right. It's a long time. can go and if you want to cheer, which this is my suggestion. And if I would have, I would have realized I would have told Terry this. Yeah, we didn't realize we were going to run weekend. It never occurred to us or anything. didn't click until we got that text message Sunday morning about the frustration. But B, you could have made signs and gone to cheer at Kingdom and gone early. You would have been in the park that way. Yeah. Or like put some signage up that's like, just expect some delays. You know, my only thing about that to Disney is that a lot of people then, um, cause you know, for the rest of the week, you had people everywhere, no matter what park we went in, they had all their medals and their run gear on and they were taking pictures of the photo passes and all the, you know, hot spots and locations. But you had people that had been held up by the runners. actively annoyed then that they were taking multiple pictures of the photo passable with their medals. And I was like, it's kind of crappy on Disney's part because people are all taking out their frustration on the runners because they didn't get time in the park. mean, you could kind of see it was like, here they are again. I'm waiting for this photo pass and this runner's taking all the time, know, waiting for my bus and this runner took all the time there. And it's not the runner's fault. Like they don't set the route. They don't set the pace and things like that at the times. Well, technically. Well, they did set their own pace, know, Disney's poor planning on that. felt bad sometimes for these runners because people were actively annoyed with them for a lot of the time because they took a lot away from their vacations. would think there'd be a way that Disney could plan out the roads. So the buses have priorities. Maybe not your main artery, like you said. Maybe not the main one, or either make a side bus route for those weekends. But I don't know Orlando traffic and the roadways enough to know if that's feasible. And it should be noted, they don't close down World Drive. Like it goes down to like two lanes or something like that. They give two lanes to the runners and one lane to the cars. I don't remember how many lanes are there, but I remember we had at least two lanes to run in down World Drive. And it's like... you're passing these cars are just sitting there and you're like, Oh, I feel sorry for them, but I'm, I'm. And bless any residents that live there, but I'm sure they've known this for years and they avoid it. Well, we'll talk about, about run Disney next week. It's nothing against the runner. So when Taylor comes here, I don't hate runners. don't. I here's, I'm, there. Here's all my bib right here. I don't know if you're listening to us, you can't see, but I've got all my half marathon bibs and my five K's and all that jazz. I get it. We encourage anyone that wants to do it to do it. know, that's, it's, you know, I want to go to run Disney, but I'll be on the other side of it. Yeah. You'll be up at 2 a.m. getting to the corrals. And then when you're done, you'll be able to hop on that bus and go straight back to your resort and be fine. Let's run through some more stuff. Let's hit your universal real quick. Like what'd your kids think of universal? They hadn't been to Epic yet. And y'all went to- No, we didn't do Epic. They loved it. There was a whole new world for them. They were just excited about everything. My funny universal story is that my youngest and I, don't ride a lot of roller coasters. My oldest and Matt did the Velocicoaster. So they get on it Matt was like, you could tell he was getting a little nervous as he saw it. Because you know, the biggest rides he's been on are like- Yeti at Disney, you know, Tron and things like Cosmic Green Line, yeah. Because he's never been to like, Karewins or Six Flags or Busch Gardens or anything. And so he was like, was, he, you know, he, he got it. How about when they got to like the top of the first big drop? I'm not sure how, you know, far into the rabbit is. As soon as they dropped, he passed out. Oh my. Matt was like, he was like this. And then it's like, as soon as they hit the bottom. He like looked back up and finished the rest of the ride. He passed out over the top hat? think he was... It's so anxious. That's right after the really big launch though. That's a fast launch up there. What I'm assuming is he just held his breath or, you know... I mean some people pass out from just the... being that nervous or excited. They'll just pass out. think of those slingshot videos you see where people get the slingshot and then they pass out during it. But yeah, but he said he would definitely do it again. He loved it. He didn't know if he could do it back to back. I was like, could you get back on it right now? He's like, I don't think I can get back on it right now. He's like, but I definitely would again. For science purposes, we need you to get on it, see if you pass out. What'd say? For science purposes, we need you to get on it and see if you pass out. See if it's hereditary. Did your husband like it? He says it's replaced every other coaster with, it's now his favorite. He's like, that was- Dust, but that's closed until April, but it's like- Stardust is number one for me and Velocico is number two. know it's a hard one. I still to say Velocico is number one because Stardust did hurt my neck when I wrote it back to back. But I was also in the last row. It was like, actually I've been dealing with that all last week, but Stardust is number two. Matt, they did decide not to do Hulk because Matt has back issues. Hulk is very rough. I don't mean any of your business. was like, but when I was here, everyone that says seasoned roller coaster rider, they didn't ride it because they just said it's a good roller coaster, but it's rough and it hurts your back. And he's like, yeah, I'm not going to mess up the rest of my vacation to ride one roller coaster. That's why I didn't ride RipRide Rocket anymore because it also was very rough. So I tell the people at work, if I'm doing whole, I have to sit in the front row. Like I'm going to go ahead and stand in that line because I want to be able to see what's coming. So I can prepare myself. love the coaster. just, it's too jerky in the back. Let's talk about food for a little bit. Let's go with Rachel's favorite restaurant. You tried it. Flying fish is Rachel full of crap or is it actually really good? Can't tell you cause we had to cancel our reservation. What? No. It was on our universal day. No. So we came back. The kids were over it. Like they were just, they were tired. It was Wednesday. During a trip, they were in terrible moods. Universal was a hot day. It's one of the few like sun up to sun down hot days we had. And by the time we got back at like 5 p.m., they just wanted to get in the pool. That's a hard one. We did our first few trips, we did it one day at Universal. But we'd always, because we were dining plan, we'd always make a dinner reservation back at one of the resorts or something like that at Disney. So we'd come back in time to eat somewhere. And it's just like, you're drained in a whole different way because you got that time to relax in a bus for It's a ride back, they get you. Like my little one went to sleep. My oldest one almost did. they, like I said, was like five o'clock and our dinner reservation was like 730 or something. And they were like, can we just go to the pool and get something to eat here? And I was like, yeah. I was like, I don't really feel like taking a whole shower and getting ready for a nice dinner. We were still full from Two-Somes because that's we had for lunch. And I was like, I'm not going to drag you guys out. I was like, as much as I wanted to try it, I'll just have to save it for the next time. So I think for September training, since we've got our information on that, that we do flying fish for Rachel. And we'll have to do that. We'll all do a dinner. If we can either come in before or after, if we're doing HHN, we can do it, but we can go eat there and then go to HHN or something. I can't because I'm only doing food reviews at HHN. I can't be full when I get... Well, you can go through some, I heard a rumor that they might bring terrifier back. Nope. That probably won't happen. So you could go through the terrifier house, lose all your food and then be able to eat again. Only one I might would go through is if like they brought back like a stranger things house. I don't know. don't. But other than that. You'd go through the Lady Gaga house. Maybe. So Topolino's you say you ate there. I love Topolino's breakfast. ⁓ good. think that's character breakfast on the fire right now. Do not waste your time at Chef Mickey's. Do not do that. So like just to interject as my vacation, when we did Topolino's, those characters came up to Travis multiple times. There's a lot of room for Travis to interact with the characters. It felt more genuine, like they loved being there versus a hug and shove. Or like a drive through. Like if you say Huggins have a fuck you were like the next table your drive-through. They packed you in Chef Mickey's like I mean you're packed in there. Yeah and you can tell Topolino's is built as a nice restaurant for dinner and they put the characters in there for lunch and they don't they're not trying to stack the place. There's a surprise point but the food's good for breakfast you're not getting something that's been sitting on a buffet for 30 minutes. And like I said, I like enjoy the characters, but Terry, go on with yours. will say Matt got the, whatever the steak and whatever breakfast that is. And his steak at Topolino's that morning was better than what we had at LaCelia the night before. I mean, we like, we're not going, cause I never, I mean, LaCelia is fine with me. I don't care that much, but it was one of Matt's favorite. We hadn't gone to it in almost 10 years. Just because of the kids and everything. So we went back and he's like, you know what? I don't know if I'll ever do this one again. He was like, it's just maybe not as good as he built it up in his head or whatever. And so he was really disappointed. And then the next morning we went to Topolino's and he's like, this is so much better than what I had last night. He's like, I'll do this 10 times out of 10. And I love the fact they're wearing the little artsy costumes. I know it's so cute. Like you never see those anywhere else in the park. ⁓ On the steak note, I've said it before, I'll say it again. Yotsman Steakhouse is the best steak on property that I have had. We had the LaSalle and Yotsman in the same day. So within a few hours, I had both steaks and Yotsman was so much better. I want to try that. Maybe we go there and sell flying fish. But Tupolee Nose is good. You get to the pictures on the terrace, you know, while you're or afterwards or while you're waiting. mean, Riviera is just a pretty resort to go see as well. It is. And it's so funny because we met so many people at elevator. They're like, are you guys staying here? And we're like, no. They're like, okay, neither are we. Are you going in for breakfast too? And I was like, yeah. It is one that I would like to stay at, even if it's the little studio rooms that they have, the little tower suites, whatever, where it's an old down bed in the super large bathroom. Just to say, hey, I've stayed there. I would like to stay in a one bedroom or something, but I'm not going spend a beautiful resort. Beautiful. While we're talking about dining and food, what about the dining plan? What was positive? For the first time ever, our dining plan got messed up. We ate at the pavilion in Mexico, not on Hill, and they charged us twice that day. Like once when we ate lunch and then we got like a 430 charge. So the next time we went... I don't know, anyway, so they told us we were running out of table services and we were like doing the math in our head and like, there's no way. And I checked our dining and they overcharged us by like two adults, three adults and one kid, which is what we had, or three adults and two kids. And we never really got it straight. We got two adults and one kid back, I think finally after Matt was trying to explain everything. So it's the only time we've ever had a dining plan issue, but we didn't use, we used all of our table services. We still had some quick services left. So the last night we just went to our resort and just kind of got like a bunch of things and just kind of had a free for all dinner. ⁓ and of course with all our leftover snack credits, we go to like, main street and buy like the rice crispy treats and things like that to take home as souvenirs for teachers and friends and things like that. So being seasoned dining plan people, we know what to do, but You just have to know how to keep track of what you're, you can always check it from your app. But, and make sure like we have like something like 18 snack credits left. That's money on the table. and I mean, honestly, I was like, either we didn't get charged for some snacks because we didn't pay anything out of pocket, but, or it didn't ring up. I don't know how we had 18 left. I honestly haven't used the dining package in forever. So. I think we always use it to our advantage. I think, you know, we got our money's worth, but like I said, make sure you always cash out those extra snacks and things like that before you leave. Don't leave your, can take stuff to go. Bags of gummy bear, like, or the gummy butterflies ⁓ my kids got for their friends, little things like that. wait, the honeymoon we took when we were on platinum package. We didn't use snacks at all. I we were doing three meals a day with that thing. That's a big package. And then like that includes everything that was tours, that was spa, that was Victoria and Albert. So we were eating nice places every time. And then we didn't have room for snacks. the last day we went to Confectionary. We went to Disney Springs at one other place and we just loaded up on candy and we got on the boat, the ship the next day to go on our first Disney cruise. So all that stuff sat in the car for a week because we didn't want to waste the money, we didn't get anything. It could melt or anything like that. And it was December. on top of it, it was still pretty cool. So I got the gummies were fine, but it was just, we didn't want to waste the money. Yeah. Built-in souvenirs. gotta take something back anyway. What else did you want to talk about as we were winding down? Basically. With everything being closed right now, we never do like midday rest stops anymore because the kids are, you know, older. But we did because like you said, Magic Kingdom, there's no Buzz Lightyear, there's no Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. So by have all the walls up around the- Yeah. The water over there where the steamboat was. In Magic Carpet Ride and Dumbo and all that's kind of out of the question for my kids. I would say the teacups is probably the most kiddy ride they rode. We did Pirates twice. You know, we just, there's just, we've been on things to do because in the same thing with Hollywood studios with no- I was gonna say Epcot's the only one that doesn't have stuff closed right now, isn't it? It's like, you know, you just kind of run out of things to do. You know, you normally were also with like my sister and her family. So we were trying to appease eight people. So that kind of stretches your time, you know, doing stuff you might not want to do, but you do it because other people do. But I mean, you just kind of with that, with a lot of stuff being closed. You don't need a full day in the park really anymore. think the negative with Disney is when they start doing these constructions. We saw it with Epcot for the longest time when they were redoing the center. You just have construction walls all over the place and it kind of gets tired of seeing them. At with Animal Kingdom they're off to one side and same with Hollywood Studios. They're not right there in front. Well, with animation being shut down, that's kind of in front of your face, but not as much as... It's not like the Chinese theater is shut down and your big focal points are taken away from you. Like right now, if you walk down Main Street, USA and Disneyland, they have scaffolding all across the buildings. I was going say, and the motor drain to repaint the castle and cranes are up. It's just, which I get it, it's the off time, you know, it's off season. So better to do that stuff now. But biggest takeaways are. I don't like the new building in Epcot now that I've seen it. And I know we saw it in September. What is it? Club 33? The communicor? Yeah. I don't like it. That's a whole different... Club 33 is in America. Yeah. What's the one that's like... Is that word DO80? Maybe that's what I'm thinking. Something with a number. DO80 is always been there. It's got the drop lights in it. It's new. I think that's communicor. Cause you used to be able to walk across the bridge from the pavilion. What do call that thing? The showcase and walked and you could like see the ball right there. Right. Now it's like a big building. You know I'm saying? Hold on. I'm pulling up my on. Pull up the map. Anyway, cause I was like, why is, there, cause what we noticed is there weren't that many photographer, cause you know how much I've led to get the. Well, I mean, we couldn't find the heart of it in September when we were trying Spaceship Earth... and I think I figured it out. It's because with the new building there, there's not very many focal points for Spaceship Earth anymore. But the focal point for the backside is the same as it was before. Well, we also have to add in that photo now. They have the topiaries out, and I didn't want a topiary picture. Well, that's the front side though. If you're talking about sober areas. is Communicore hall that's on that side where Mickey and Minnie and friends meet festival favorites. And then you have creations club cool. And then connections is off. Like if you're looking coming from world showcase towards the front of the park. Creations club, cool connections cafe is all on your right. And then this is on the left, the Communicore hall. To just a pay like. Disney's defense, those are in the same footprint that the original buildings were. I don't know. I was looking at it from one, maybe it was me, but I was like, why is this building blocking my view? You might've come in from the side. Why am I looking at, I think I might have been because like I said, coming from the bridge was, and we have a shot there, it's beautiful, but you get the topiary, they put you beside the topiary with spaceship earth in the background. And I was like, I don't want the topiary. I just want a normal picture. with us in it and besides going to all the way to the main entrance, there was no straightforward picture that didn't have a building blocking part of the ball. And I was like, this is your flagship. This is your focal point. Why are you putting ugly buildings in the way? So that was my only takeaway. The only other one that's over there that you could see would be Cosmic Rewind. That's a newer building. Yeah, that's, I'm gonna be saying I'm on the opposite side. I don't know. I'm trying to orient myself now. That you're all, we'll be able to see. As I'm looking through my pictures right now, trying to figure out. That's going to do it for today's episode. Next week, we're going to have Taylor, like I said, maybe Lauren? I don't know. And we're going to talk about run Disney and Disneyland and what's the difference between Disneyland and Walt Disney World's run style and their, their weekends, even though Disneyland's was the last one for a while. ⁓ If you want us to help plan any of your Disney universal Disney Cruise Line, anything like that type of vacation, www.magicaltravel.com.
